Natural Gas www.futurenergyweb.es 48 FuturEnergy | Mayo-Junio/May-June 2020 Los vehículos propulsados con este combustible son aptos para cualquier tipo de movilidad, motivo por el que han duplicado sus ventas en España el año pasado y se sitúan ya como una alternativa a los vehículos híbridos, a los híbridos enchufables y a los eléctricos. Según un informe de Gasnam, España ha pasado de contar con 8.400 vehículos en 2017 a 14.200 en 2018 y más de 21.000 en octubre de 2019, mes en el que se alcanzó un aumento del número de matriculaciones de turismos de GNC del 466% respecto al mismo mes del año anterior. Para hacer frente al avance de la demanda de estos vehículos, Redexis continúa su firme y decidida apuesta para construir una infraestructura de gasineras a nivel nacional moderna y en constante expansión. El pasado mes de marzo, en la localidad murciana de Puerto Lumbreras, la compañía puso en funcionamiento la primera de las 80 estaciones de repostaje de gas que construirá en el periodo 2019-2023, con una inversión de 60 M€, en el marco de su alianza con Cepsa para crear la mayor red de gasineras de España. Estaciones de repostaje con depósitos de GNL y GNC que cubrirán todos los corredores de transporte que se extienden a lo largo y ancho de la geografía peninsular: el cantábrico, el mediterráneo, la ruta de la plata o el que une Andalucía con Madrid y Zaragoza y se extiende hasta la frontera por Irún o la Junquera. Redexis también ha alcanzado acuerdos con importantes fabricantes de automóviles, como FIAT, para promover la venta de vehículos de GNC y compartir información sobre la demanda de este tipo de vehículos, con el objetivo último de promover la instalación de nuevos puntos de carga con acceso público en aquellas zonas que se consideren de especial relevancia. A nivel nacional, Redexis prevé contar con más de 100 gasineras en los próximos dos años. El acuerdo más reciente que se ha alcanzado en esta dirección ha sido con la compañía Orthem, para la construcción de una nueva red de siete estaciones de repostaje de GNV que abastecerán a la flota de ambulancias del Servicio Murciano de Salud y también a vehículos de particulares. Además, en España ya utilizan el GNV a través de Redexis, la flota municipal encargada de la recogida de residuos y limpieza en Palma de Mallorca -Emaya-, la flota de Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales en Ibiza, la flota de autobuses de la Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Palma -EMT- y la flota de la empresa de recogida de limpieza de El Puerto de Santa María. Pero el GNV no es la única apuesta de Redexis por una movilidad limpia. Otro de los grandes combustibles del futuro en el ámbito del transporte es el hidrógeno, un combustible 100% limpio que puede ser generado a partir de fuentes renovables y cuya única emisión es with a high level of autonomy: they can travel up to 1,300 km with no need to refuel, thanks to their dual gas and petrol tank.With one tank, they can travel over 550 km: some 375 km on diesel and 275 km on a tank of petrol. The current development of VNG vehicles gives themmore autonomy and the same safety and output as other combustion engines. To all these advantages is added the fact of being cost-competitive, as owners can benefit from discounts or bonuses as regards the road tax; they can drive though high pollution zones, thanks to the fact they have the ECO card from the DirectorateGeneral for Traffic (DGT); as well as take advantage of considerable subsidies for their purchase, under both the Automobile Stock Renewal Programme and the MOVES Plan. Vehicles propelled by this fuel are suited to any type of mobility, the reason why Spain has doubled its sales last year, to position themselves as an alternative to hybrids, plug-in hybrids and pure electric vehicles. To address the advance in demand for these vehicles, Redexis remains firmly committed to constructing a modern gas refuelling station network at national level that will be in constant expansion. Last March, in the Murcia town of Puerto Lumbreras, the company put the first of the 80 gas refuelling stations to be built over the period 2019-2023 into operation.With an investment of €60m, the project forms part of the partnership with Cepsa to create the largest gas refuelling station network in Spain. Refuelling stations with LNG and CNG tanks will cover every transport corridor that extends the length and breadth of mainland Spain: the Cantabrian, the Mediterranean, the Silver Route and the corridor that links Andalusia withMadrid and Zaragoza and extends as far as the French border through Irún and La Junquera. Redexis has also entered into agreements with the major automakers, such as FIAT, to promote the sale of CNG vehicles and share information regarding demand for this type of vehicles, with the ultimate aim of fostering the installation of new public access charging points in those areas deemed to be of special importance. At national level, Redexis aims to have more than gas refuelling stations in the next two years. The latest agreement to have been signed in this respect has been with the company Orthem to construct a new network of seven VNG refuelling stations that will supply the ambulance fleet of the Murcia Health Service in addition to private cars. VNG via Redexis is already being used by the municipal fleet of Emaya, which is responsible for cleaning and waste collection in Palma de Mallorca; the Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales fleet in Ibiza; the bus fleet belonging to the Palma municipal transport company, EMT; and the cleaning and waste collection fleet in El Puerto de Santa María.
