Desde nuevos algoritmos inteligentes para adelantarse a averías hasta nuevas técnicas de operación y mantenimiento para energías marinas. En los últimos años, la división de servicios de Ingeteam ha llevado a cabo más de 35 proyectos de I+D+i, nueve de ellos en convocatorias europeas, con una inversión aproximada de 12 M€. Sus proyectos y líneas de I+D+i se orientan a la mejora de las capacidades de todos los elementos que intervienen en el proceso de operación y mantenimiento. Desde el punto de vista del técnico de mantenimiento, Ingeteam ha desarrollado nuevas herramientas para mejorar su seguridad, formación y capacidad de diagnóstico a través de la realidad aumentada y machine learning. Desde el punto de vista del gestor de la instalación, la compañía facilita la toma inteligente de decisiones a través de herramientas Big Data, Smart Data y Fast Data. Y desde el punto de vista de los activos, el objetivo principal se basa en el incremento de su vida útil, reduciendo los daños mediante técnicas predictivas y minimizando el tiempo de parada por averías gracias a soluciones innovadoras en monitorización y supervisión. En la actualidad Ingeteam Service está inmersa en diez proyectos relacionados con estas temáticas (cuatro de ellos en convocatorias europeas), para los sectores fotovoltaico, eólico (terrestre y marino), biomasa y maremotriz. Cabe destacar los proyectos destinados a mejorar la rentabilidad de la energía eólica marina. El último de ellos es el proyectoW2Power, que consiste en el diseño, desarrollo, montaje y operación de una plataforma eólica flotante de dos turbinas y cuyo prototipo fue inaugurado el pasado día 10 de abril en Canarias. El prototipo, que será la primera plataforma eólica flotante en España y la primera plataforma eólica multiturbina a nivel mundial en alcanzar este nivel tecnológico, ha sido construido y ensamblado en el astillero canario Astican y será instalado en el Banco From new intelligent algorithms to provide advance warning of breakdowns to new O&M techniques for offshore energy, recent years have seen the services division of Ingeteam undertaking over 35 R&D+i projects, nine of which through European calls for entries, with an approximate investment of €12m. Its projects and R&D+i lines are designed to improve the capabilities of every element that comprises the O&M process. From the standpoint of maintenance techniques, Ingeteam has developed new tools to improve their safety, training and diagnostic capacity through augmented reality and machine learning. From the point of view of the installation manager, the company enables smart decisionmaking thanks to Big Data, Smart Data and Fast Data tools. And from the standpoint of the assets, the main objective focuses on increasing their service life, reducing damage through predictive techniques and minimising downtime resulting from faults thanks to innovative monitoring and supervision solutions. Ingeteam Service is currently involved in ten projects relating to these topics (four of which under European calls for entries), for the PV, wind (onshore and offshore), biomass and tidal sectors. It is worth mentioning the projects designed to improve the cost effectiveness of offshore wind power. The most recent of these is theW2Power project that comprises the design, development, assembly and operation of a floating, two turbine wind power platform whose prototype was inaugurated last 10 April in the Canary Islands. The prototype, which will be the first floating wind power platform in Spain and the first multi-wind turbine platform in the world to have achieved this technological level, was constructed and assembled at the Canary Island shipyard of Astican and will be installed in the PLOCAN Test Site over the coming weeks. During the development of this prototype, Ingeteam was responsible for integrating the wind turbines and for the design of the power electronics and control system, in addition to taking part in and advising on the design and integration of the rest of the systems linked to power generation. This project forms part of the ERA-Net Cofund scheme, DemoWind Call 2015, in which the following companies are taking part along with Ingeteam: EnerOcean, Ghenova and TTI, Inc. It is co-funded within the framework of the EU’s 2020 Horizon and by the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) for the Spanish partners and by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for the UK partner. ¿SE PUEDE HACER I+D EN EL SECTOR SERVICIOS? La actividad de I+D ha estado tradicionalmente vinculada al desarrollo y la mejora de productos. ¿Significa eso que las empresas dedicadas a servicios no pueden hacer I+D? Las empresas que hoy día no apuesten por la I+D como estrategia de negocio, tendrán serias dificultades para poder competir y sobrevivir a medio plazo. Como consecuencia de esta reflexión, Ingeteam lleva más de 12 años apostando por la I+D+i en su división de servicios. IS R&D POSSIBLE IN THE SERVICES SECTOR? R&D activities have been traditionally linked to product development and improvement. Does this mean that companies dedicated to services cannot do R&D? companies that currently do not undertake R&D as a business strategy will have severe problems as regards their competitiveness and survival in the medium-term.
