Las pymes en el sector industrial europeo Las pymes representan el 99% del total de industrias en Europa, soportan el 59% de los empleos del sector, y el 44% del valor del sector manufacturero. Por ejemplo, en concreto, en el sector de alimentación y bebidas, las pymes representan el 99,1% de las empresas, más del 65% de los empleos del sector y en torno al 50% de los ingresos del mismo. En definitiva, las pymes son clave para la economía europea, contribuyendo con un valor muy importante en algunos sectores industriales, por ejemplo, representan un 41,5% del valor del sector papelero o un 74,8% del sector de extracción y explotación minera. Como grandes contribuyentes a la economía de Europa, las pymes demandan una cantidad importante de energía de proceso. Mientras que la industria europea ha conseguido reducir de forma importante su intensidad energética desde el año 2000, las pymes se enfrentan a varios retos a la hora de invertir en proyectos de eficiencia energética y energías renovables, entre ellos se encuentran: • Recursos humanos y financieros limitados. • Reducido acceso a capital y a financiación. • Riesgos reales/identificados. La propuesta de valor del proyecto TrustEE En respuesta a estos retos, los socios del proyecto TrustEE, han desarrollado la plataforma online TrustEE que, facilita el asesoramiento técnico y la financiación de proyectos de eficiencia energética o energías renovables a aquellas pymes industriales que apuesten por sustituir o compensar las fuentes de calor fósiles por otras renovables, como por ejemplo, la recuperación del calor residual, la energía solar térmica, el biogás y/o sistemas basados en biomasa y bombas de calor. En ella, tanto promotores como empresas usuarias, pueden evaluar técnica y económicamente sus proyectos de mejora de la eficiencia energética o de incorporación de energías renovables, para conocer los costes de su implantación, así como el ahorro energético que les supondría en su factura. Además, las empresas pueden tramitar la financiación de su proyectos a través de la plataforma TrustEE, lo que supone simplificar y acelerar los trámites de gestión financiera y recuperar la inversión en un plazo de tiempo mucho más corto. The value proposal of the TrustEE project To respond to these challenges, the TrustEE project partners have developed the TrustEE online platform that facilitates the technical assessment and financing of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for those industrial SMEs that are committed to replacing or compensating for fossil heat sources with other renewables, such as residual heat recovery, solar thermal energy, biogas and/or systems based on biomass and heat pumps. Via this platform, developers, as user companies, can obtain a technical and economic assessment of their projects to improve energy efficiency or incorporate renewables and understand the costs of their implementation, as well as the saving they will represent on their energy bill. In addition, companies can process the financing of their projects via the TrustEE platform, which both simplifies and accelerates the financial management procedures and recovers the investment in a far shorter period.
