As Christian Ledoux, Alliance Global Director for Mobility Services, highlights: “We can no longer think about vehicles as being private property. EZ-GO is equipped with six seats for transporting passengers in cities. “This is a form of shared transport which favours aspects relating to coexistence within a framework of mobility for all”, comments Ledoux. “This vehicle will in addition be an important asset to achieve greater flexibility in cities”. The EZ-PRO and its convoy of vehicles which includes a flagship vehicle and a series of autonomous units, offers a new way to transport goods to respond to the challenges involved in last-mile delivery. “End consumers can choose exactly where, when and how to receive their goods. The ultra-modular EZ-PRO can adapt itself to the needs of shops, tradesmen and small companies. Its interior is divided into sections of different shapes and sizes to cope with the different types of packages being carried, whether heavy or fragile, light or voluminous”. Finally, there is EZ-ULTIMO, conceived as a re-invention of a “Coach 2.0”, providing passengers with a premium experience over long journeys or even just a few hours, in a space reserved that has been exclusively for them. “EZ-ULTIMO can become, for example, a continuation of a flight, a stay in a hotel or a tourist experience” explains Ledoux. These three robo-vehicles have been designed to cover every need of any traveller, while offering them a taster of the Renault universe. The execution of these concept cars has allowed designers to plan towards the 2030 horizon and respond to the needs of smart cities and their architecture.
