Esperanza Rico Directora 2019, a las puertas de una nueva década de grandes cambios y oportunidades para el sector energético Como corresponde al paso de un año a otro, es momento de hacer balance del año que acaba y de analizar las perspectivas que trae el nuevo. No somos menos en FuturENERGY, y para ello, como viene siendo habitual todos los años, hemos contado con los principales expertos del sector, voces más que autorizadas, para analizar prácticamente todos los nichos de mercado del sector energético, tanto desde el punto de vista de lo que deparará el mercado, como de los avances tecnológicos que han marcado 2018 y marcarán 2019. Energías renovables, O&M, mercado del gas natural, cogeneración, redes urbanas de calor y frío, eficiencia energética y mercado de servicios energéticos, vehículo eléctrico e infraestructuras de recarga y almacenamiento energético; son analizados en profundidad en esta edición. No sería posible este exhaustivo recorrido por el sector energético de nuestro país, sin la colaboración de las asociaciones, que todos los años, repasan con nosotros el año energético, vaya pues nuestro más sincero agradecimiento. ¿Y qué nos espera para 2019?. Pues sin miedo a equivocarnos, y recogiendo algunas de las previsiones de las propias asociaciones, de los analistas, y en base a nuestra propia experiencia; podemos decir que seguiremos hablando, y mucho, de vehículo eléctrico, así como de sus infraestructuras de recarga y de su gestión inteligente. Íntimamente ligado a ello está el almacenamiento energético, no sólo por ser las baterías el “origen” de la energía que mueve los vehículos eléctricos; sino también de almacenamiento estacionario, por la componente de flexibilidad que aporta a las redes eléctricas, imprescindible para la implantación masiva del vehículo eléctrico y para poder recargarlo con energías renovables, que también seguirán batiendo records en 2019. A todas estas tendencias se unen, el autoconsumo, por fin, desbloqueado en España, la generación distribuida, la eficiencia energética, que trasciende a todas y cada una de las actividades humanas, y sin la que nada de lo anterior tendría sentido...En definitiva, hablaremos de la transición hacia una economía baja en carbono, que aunque no exclusiva del sector energético, será la gran megatendencia de 2019, e indudablemente de los años venideros. 2019, on the threshold of a new decade of major changes and opportunities for the energy sector As is customary at the turn of the year, it is time to take stock of the past year and analyse the prospects heralded by the new - and FuturENERGY is no exception. As we do every year, we have turned to the leading experts in the sector, the voices of authority, to analyse almost every aspect of the energy sector market, both from the point of view of what the market will bring and the technological advances that have characterised 2018 and those that will shape 2019. Renewable energy, O&M, the natural gas market, CHP, DHC networks, energy efficiency and the energy services market, the electric vehicle and charging infrastructures as well as energy storage are all analysed in depth in this issue. Such a comprehensive review of the energy sector in Spain would not be possible without the collaboration of these associations who undertake this annual review of the energy year for us and to whom we would like to offer our sincerest thanks. So what does 2019 hold for us?We can safely say, taking some of the forecasts offered by the associations and analysts themselves, and based on our own experience, that there will be a great deal of talk about the electric vehicle as well as its charging infrastructures and their smart management. Closely linked to this is energy storage, not only because batteries are the original energy source that drives electric vehicles but also due to their role as stationary storage, given the element of flexibility they bring to power grids. Storage is essential for the widespread deployment of the electric vehicle and for ensuring it is charged with renewable energy, which will also continue to break records in 2019. In addition to these trends is self-consumption, which has finally been unblocked in Spain, distributed generation and energy efficiency, which transcends each and every human activity and without which none of the above makes sense. In short, we will be speaking about the transition towards a low carbon economy, that although is not exclusive to the energy sector, will be the great mega trend of 2019 and undoubtedly of the years to come.
