Inicialmente, el servicio funcionará de 7.00 a 24.00 h, ininterrumpidamente todos los días del año, y contará con 300 bicicletas eléctricas de uso compartido, distribuidas en 45 módulos de 14 plazas cada uno. Se ubicarán cerca de intercambiadores de transporte público y en zonas de aparcamiento de vehículos privados. Se trata de facilitar la movilidad a las personas que necesitan realizar el último tramo de su desplazamiento, ya sea por motivos laborales, personales o turísticos. También se situarán estaciones de e-Bicibox cerca de lugares residenciales. Para usar el e-Bicibox los usuarios deberán registrarse en el servicio y tener una tarjeta contactless, individual y no transferible. La cuota anual será de 30 € por abonado que, promocionalmente, incluirá los 30 primeros minutos de uso. En caso de sobrepasar este tiempo de utilización, se establece una tarifa que parte de los 50 céntimos por la primera media hora de uso. Los menores de 16 y 17 años también podrán solicitar el alta en el servicio si cuentan con la autorización paterna y presentan una declaración de asunción de responsabilidades de sus padres o tutores. Segunda fase En función de la aceptación del servicio, el AMB estudiará la posibilidad de incrementar el número de módulos disponibles, el de municipios a los que se presta servicio y el de bicis. En este sentido, el objetivo de la entidad es ir ampliando el servicio en función de la demanda, y llegar en un futuro a cubrir los 36 los municipios que conforman el área metropolitana de Barcelona. A medio plazo también se valorará el horario de funcionamiento de las bicis. Apuesta por una movilidad más sostenible El área metropolitana de Barcelona es el territorio europeo con más vehículos por km2. Sus habitantes respiran 292 kg de aire contaminado al año. Las partículas finas que emiten los motores de area: Castelldefels, Cornellà de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Gavà, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí, Sant Just Desvern and Viladecans. Should the usage time be exceeded, a tariff of €0.50 for the first half hour of use is established. 16 and 17 year-olds can also apply to be registered for the service if they have parental authorisation and submit a statement that their parents or guardians accept liability. Second phase Depending on the acceptance level of the service, AMB will study the possibility of increasing the number of available modules, the municipalities offering the service and the number of bikes. The overall aim of the entity is to gradually extend the service in line with demand, and in future, cover the 36 municipal districts that comprise the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona. Moreover, thanks to this technology, information is available on the number of kilometres travelled (total and partial) as well as identifying the location of the bike. The e-Bicibox service also includes an app for mobiles integrated into the already existing Bicibox app. The user can check the availability of bikes at the stations and configure preferential locations.
