FY45 - FuturEnergy

The system was installed by integration company InerZia Integraciones Tecnológicas. More than 80 sensors enable real time adjustment of the habitability conditions of the different areas and rooms in the building. For example, the building’s lighting automatically changes depending on the presence of people in the controlled areas, as well as by the amount of natural light penetrating from outside, by controlling the façade curtains. Sensors detect if a user has involuntarily left the lights on in manual mode, switching the system to automatic after a pre-established period of time. This avoids one of the main sources of energy wastage: the human factor. Focusing on the needs of human beings, scenes have been programmed for medical consultations, the meeting and fitness rooms, as well as for the multipurpose room. These are all activated using specific Jung keypads. Automation technology from Jung Lighting monitoring does not end with the operation of the system implemented by SEAT in the CARS building. The KNX industrial standard also controls the main energy consumption circuits, including those found in the solar panel and aerothermal system that powers the Mitsubishi temperature control units. Jung provided the binary actuators that are used to control a range of elements in the boiler room, including pumps, valves, the air cooler (solar panels) and their corresponding technical alerts for both the pumps and the solar power system. Another critical element in a building designed for health care is its air quality. This is guaranteed thanks to the use of sensors that not only detect the presence of users, but are also able to regulate the levels of CO2, temperature and humidity in each room, depending on the requirements established by health care directives. The entire system is monitored from the control room located at SEAT’s nearby premises, as well as from a PC situated in the same building.
