Los edificios destinados a supermercados en Europa ocupan un área aproximada de 115 millones de m2. En el marco del estudio se ha realizado la evaluación del potencial de ahorro energético de un supermercado tipo de 1.025 m2, con un consumo de energía final de 181 kWh/m2a, equipado con caldera de condensación a gas para la calefacción (con recuperación de energía del sistema de refrigeración), sistemas de ventilación mecánica sin recuperación de calor, sistema de refrigeración y aire acondicionadomediante enfriadoras de comprensión y sistema de iluminación directa e indirecta mediante tubos fluorescentes. Las mejoras en sistemas técnicos en este supermercado tipo arrojaron la posibilidad de alcanzar un ahorro energético del 45%, que se traduce en algo más de 8.000 €/año, con una inversión de alrededor de 36.000 €, que se amortizaría en unos 4,5 años. Soluciones Danfoss en el supermercado de Recheio Cash & Carry de Sines Recheio Cash & Carry, compañía dedicada a la distribución de alimentos, con más de 39 tiendas en Portugal, ha inaugurado recientemente su tienda de Sines, la más moderna, con una superficie total de 2.000 m2. Recheio Cash & Carry ha encontrado en Danfoss al proveedor ideal para reducir el consumo de energía y las emisiones de CO2; y por tanto el impacto medioambiental y añadir valor a su negocio. Part of the study included an assessment of the energy saving potential of a sample supermarket with a surface area of 1,025 m2 and a total energy consumption of 181 kWh/m2a. This sample building is equipped with a gas condensing boiler for heating (with energy recovery for the refrigeration system); mechanical ventilation systems with no heat recovery; a refrigeration and air conditioning system by means of compression chillers; and a direct and indirect lighting system via fluorescent tubes. Improvements to the technical systems in this sample supermarket reveal the possibility of achieving a 45% saving in energy, which translates into just over 8,000 €/year, with an investment of some €36,000 that would be amortised in around 4.5 years. Danfoss solutions for the Recheio Cash & Carry supermarket in Sines Recheio Cash & Carry, a company dedicated to food distribution with over 39 shops in Portugal, has recently inaugurated its shop in Sines, its most modern and boasting a total surface area of 2,000 m2. Recheio Cash & Carry selected Danfoss as the ideal supplier to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, minimising its environmental impact while adding value to its business. Danfoss works on the basis that CO2 is an increasingly more attractive solution as a natural refrigerant, due to its low levels of ozone depletion potential (ODP) and global warming coefficient (GWC). One of the up-and-coming systems, particularly in cold climates, is the transcritical CO2 booster system. Systems with CO2 technology have demonstrated that they achieve better efficiency than conventional systems, and transcritical systems similarly EFICIENCIA EN SUPERMERCADOS Y PLATAFORMAS LOGÍSTICAS Los edificios donde los europeos duermen, comen, compran, aprenden y trabajan, albergan una gran oportunidad de ahorro energético y de reducción de emisiones, especialmente en los denominados sistemas técnicos: calefacción, ACS, refrigeración, ventilación e iluminación. Un reciente estudio de la consultora energética Ecofys, patrocinado por Danfoss, muestra el ahorro energético que se puede obtener mediante una mejor gestión de la energía en los edificios europeos. Un potencial insuficientemente explotado hasta la fecha, que se ha cifrado en 67.000 M€ de ahorro energético en la factura anual de los ciudadanos europeos en 2030, y en una reducción de emisiones de CO2 de 156 Mt. En el marco del estudio se han editado documentos enfocados a diferentes tipos de edificios, en este artículo recogemos las principales conclusiones del estudio en el caso de los supermercados, y algunos de los más recientes casos de éxito de Danfoss en este sector en la Península Ibérica. EFFICIENCY IN SUPERMARKETS AND LOGISTICS PLATFORMS The buildings in which Europeans sleep, eat, shop, learn and work, house a great opportunity for energy saving and emissions reduction, particularly in the so-called technical systems: heating, DHW, cooling, ventilation and lighting. A recent study by energy consultancy Ecofys, sponsored by Danfoss, shows the energy saving that can be achieved by improving energy management in Europe’s buildings. This hitherto under-exploited potential is calculated to save €67bn on the annual energy bill of European citizens by 2030, while reducing CO2 emissions by 156 Mt. Documents have been published as part of the study that focus on different types of buildings. This article sets out the main conclusions of the study in the case of supermarkets, along with some of the more recent success stories from Danfoss in this sector on the Iberian Peninsula.
