Esto se debe al hecho de que los procesos de asignación de nueva capacidad instalada con esta tecnología han asegurado un contingente de proyectos, que permite vislumbrar un crecimiento sostenido de las inversiones más allá del horizonte 2020. El más reciente de los mercados en unirse a esta tendencia ha surgido en Argentina, donde han sido adoptadas las medidas políticas y normativas adecuadas para asegurar un verdadero despliegue de inversiones en esta tecnología renovable a partir del programa RenovAr , y que ha sido diseñado para que para 2025 puedan desarrollarse 10 GW de potencia instalada de origen renovable. El Gobierno argentino está desarrollando los instrumentos regulatorios adecuados para asegurar que las distribuidoras eléctricas y los grandes consumidores puedan dar cumplimiento a sus cuotas obligatorias de consumo de energías renovables, lo que su vez asegura la asignación de contingentes de potencia eólica instalada a través de los procesos licitatorios que ha puesto en marcha con aquel propósito. A estas iniciativas se une a ahora la normativa que va a favorecer la contratación directa entre productores de electricidad de origen renovable y consumidores con demandas superiores a 300 kW. Experiencias compartidas entre los agentes inversores en la mayoría de estos mercados y los reguladores, a través de procesos de consulta pública en la definición de los instrumentos regulatorios idóneos en numerosos mercados en la región, han contribuido significativamente al éxito de las iniciativas puestas en marcha, y auguran un futuro en el que se detonarán las inversiones en las nuevas tecnologías de producción sostenible y eficiente de electricidad. hydropower coverage and that are, as such, more exposed to extreme low water phenomena. In Latin America some such markets, including Brazil, Chile and Colombia, are experiencing greater recurrence of this phenomena. In these countries, wind power generation already represents or could come to offer an invaluable contribution to the security of the power supply. However, so that this can be properly recognised, it is essential that there is a conceptually regulatory approach which is different to that applied for the weighting of firm capacity technologies. The outlook for growth in wind power technology in Latin America is very encouraging, regardless of the vicissitudes affecting economic development in some of the largest markets. This is due to the fact that the processes for allocating new installed capacity with this technology have ensured a project quota that indicates sustained growth in investments beyond the 2020 horizon. The latest market to join this trend has emerged in Argentina, where the appropriate standards and policy measures have been adopted to guarantee a real deployment of investments in this renewable technology, based on the RenovAr programme, designed so that by 2025, 10 GW of renewable origin installed capacity can be developed. The Argentine Government is developing the proper regulatory instruments to ensure that utilities and large consumers are able to comply with their obligatory renewable energy consumption quotas, which in turn guarantees the allocation of installed wind power quotas through the tender processes that have been instigated for the purpose. To these initiatives can now be added the regulation that will promote direct contracts between producers of renewably sourced electricity and consumers with demands in excess of 300 kW. Shared experiences between the parties investing in the majority of these markets and the regulators via public consultation processes to define the ideal regulatory instruments in numerous markets in the region, have made a considerable contribution to the success of the initiatives launched, herald a future triggering investment in new technologies for sustainable and efficient electricity production.
