FY35 - FuturEnergy

Ampere Energy utiliza baterías de ion de To undertake this installation, the owners obtained information regarding options for financial aid from the installer, who advised them that as from 2017 the IVACE (the Valencian Institute of Business Competition) will be making funding available for self-consumption. In the case of private individuals, this involves a 20% discount on the investment, undoubtedly a good incentive for such installations. One of the defining features of this installation is the incorporation of a battery that stores the unused solar power given that the solar panels’ output is usually greater than the domestic consumption. As such, the solar power produced by the panels is used directly during the day, whereas at night, it only uses the energy stored in the battery. The owners have selected Ampere Energy to supply this equipment. There are many reasons behind the choice of this Valencia-based manufacturer, but undoubtedly physical proximity is one factor as it gives them possibility of having a more direct contact with a distributor that is closer to the client. Ampere Energy develops and manufactures both the software platform and the complete systems at its Valencia premises. As such, it can quickly respond to the needs of its clients, developing turnkey accumulation batteries from 3 kWh to 1 GWh as well as implementing personalised projects. The use of quality components, including elements from well-known brands such as LG and Ingeteam, also tipped the balance in favour of the Ampere Energy battery. Ampere Energy uses latest generation li-ion batteries with LG cells, offering a high level of durability at a very competitive price. The capacity of its batteries adapts to the real needs of the client with outputs from 3 kWh offered by the Ampere Sphere and Ampere Compac, 6 kWh from Ampere Square and 12 kWh from Ampere Tower. However, the deciding factor was the fact that the batteries from Ampere Energy include the concept of smart energy purchase: when the moment comes to buy energy from the grid, the battery makes that purchase when energy is at its cheapest. The battery connects to the internet and has access to the weather forecast so that when it predicts cloudy days and low PV output, it can buy energy in advance. As such, it does not wait until it needs it but purchases energy when it is cheapest. Moreover, thanks to the Ampere Energy app it is possible to view the energy produced and/or AUTOCONSUMO DE ENERGÍA LIMPIA, CONTROL DE LA ENERGÍA Y AHORRO Pilar Salinas y Andrés Coronado ya lo tienen decidido: van a incluir una batería Ampere Energy en su nueva vivienda, un chalet en La Sella, junto a Jávea. SELF-CONSUMPTION OF CLEAN ENERGY, ENERGY CONTROL AND SAVING Pilar Salinas and Andrés Coronado have already made their decision: they are going to include an Ampere Energy battery in their new house, a chalet in La Sella, near Jávea. Having considered different alternatives to the electrical grid to supply energy to their new home, Pilar and Andrés realised that the most sustainable, efficient and even profitable format currently available is the installation of PV modules along with battery storage. Andrés had already planned the PV installation to make it even more efficient by expanding it a little and adding a battery.
