Nueva adjudicación de un ciclo combinado en Rumanía DF, a través de DF Energy, ha suscrito con la empresa Romgaz (participada en un 70% por el Estado Rumano) un contrato llave en mano para la construcción de un ciclo combinado de 430 MW localizado en Iernut (Rumanía). Duro Felguera lidera un consorcio con la local Romelectro para ejecutar el proyecto valorado en 269 M€ (172 M€ correspondientes a DF), primer gran contrato de DF Energy en Europa del Este. El contrato cuenta con un plazo de ejecución de 36 meses y está pendiente de recibir la orden de inicio de los trabajos, en principio prevista para enero de 2017. El alcance de DF Energy comprende: la ingeniería básica y de detalle, el suministro del equipamiento principal, la supervisión de obra, el montaje de las turbinas de gas y vapor y la puesta en marcha de la instalación. Entregada la central de ciclo combinado de Carrington El pasado 3 de octubre, DF, a través de su división DF Energy, y en consorcio con General Electric, llevó a cabo la entrega al cliente de la central de ciclo combinado de Carrington, Reino Unido. De esta manera, el proyecto inicia su actividad comercial una vez desarrollada la fase de puesta en marcha de la instalación. La central de Carrington es un ciclo combinado de 880 MW de potencia total ubicada en Trafford, Greater Manchester (Reino Unido) y consta de dos unidades, de 440 MW cada una, alimentadas por gas natural. La central tiene capacidad para suministrar energía para cubrir la demanda eléctrica de alrededor de un millón de hogares. DF Energy ha dedicado más de 5 millones de horas de trabajo (incluyendo tanto empleo directo como indirecto) y se han alcanzado picos de actividad de hasta 1.000 personas implicadas en la ejecución de la obra. New contract awarded for a combined-cycle in Romania DF, via DF Energy, has signed a turnkey contract with Romgaz (a company 70% owned by the State of Romania) for the construction of a 430 MW combined-cycle in Iernut (Romania). Duro Felguera is heading up a consortium with the local company Romelectro to deliver this €269m (€172m corresponding to DF) project, the first large contract for DF Energy in Eastern Europe. The contract has a 36-month delivery period and is pending receipt of the order to start work, initially scheduled for January 2017. The scope of DF Energy’s remit comprises basic and detailed engineering,main equipment procurement, works supervision, assembly of the gas and steam turbines and facility commissioning. Delivery of the Carrington combined-cycle plant On 3 October, DF, via its DF Energy division in a consortium with General Electric, delivered the Carrington combinedcycle plant in the UK to its client. As such, the project will enter into commercial operation once facility commissioning is complete. The 880MWCarrington combined-cycle plant is located in Trafford, Greater Manchester (UK) and consists of two units of 440MWeach, fired by natural gas. The plant can supply enough energy to cover the electricity demand of around one million homes. DF Energy has invested more than 5 million man-hours (including both direct and indirect jobs), at times achieving peaks of activity of almost 1,000 people involved in executing the project. The Carrington combined-cycle plant has surpassed the demanding quality standards required in Anglo-Saxon markets, resulting in the company receiving two significant awards in recent months: • The Safety and Health in Construction prize, granted by the National Joint Council for the Engineering Construction Industry (NJC) in the UK, along with the GE Power. • The Gas Project EHS Awards 2015 conferred by GE (previously Alstom) for the best safety levels in a project under construction in the whole world.
