Esperanza Rico Directora Las renovables siguen imparables en Latinoamérica Agosto nos ha dejado una nueva subasta en Chile, que ha adjudicado 12.430 GWh/año de energía, para suministrar electricidad a los clientes regulados del SIC y SING durante 20 años a partir de 2021. Más de la mitad de la energía subastada, unos 2.000 MW, fue adjudicada a proyectos renovables, principalmente eólica y solar. Especialmente interesante resulta el precio promedio de la licitación, 47,6 $/MWh, 40% inferior al de la subasta de octubre de 2015, 79,3 $/MWh, y con récord de precio a la baja logrado por el proyecto fotovoltaico Granja Solar de 120 MWp, 280 GWh/año, que se situó en 29,1 $/MWh. Por otra parte, la próxima subasta renovable a celebrar en Argentina, con 1.000 MW en juego, abre un gran abanico de posibilidades en este país. El 5 de septiembre quedará cerrada la aceptación de propuestas y el 28 serán anunciados los ganadores. Lanzada bajo los auspicios del programa RenovAR, la subasta cubre un amplio abanico de tecnologías renovables: 600 MW de eólica, 300 MW de solar, 65 MW de biomasa, 20 MW de mini-hidráulica y 15 MW de biogás. El Salvador también tiene en curso un proceso de licitación de 170 MW de eólica y solar. El próximo 30 de septiembre se falla la segunda subasta eléctrica en México y Brasil tiene en marcha licitaciones de reserva para fotovoltaica, mini y pequeñas centrales hidroeléctricas y eólica...
