En la realización de los planes de Acción de cada una de las regiones tendrán un papel fundamental las entidades y organismos con incidencia en el sector (tanto públicos como privados) que, mediante mesas de trabajo regionales participan en calidad de expertos; en una primera fase para desarrollar y validar las acciones que se propongan y en la segunda, para difundir los resultados del proyecto. Resultados esperados Con la implementación y el seguimiento de las medidas recogidas en los planes de acción regionales el proyecto BUILD2LC persigue obtener un aumento sustancial en el número de edificios rehabilitados para mejorar su eficiencia energética, lo que propiciará un efecto beneficioso en términos de reducción de consumo de energía y las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, contribuyendo de esta forma a una economía de bajas emisiones de carbono. Se estima que en el conjunto de las regiones participantes en el proyecto, tras la aplicación de los planes de acción elaborados en el marco del proyecto, se producirá una reducción del 25% del consumo de energía de origen fósil. Además, se producirá un ahorro de 21.000 MWh al año en los edificios públicos y de 300.000 MWh al año en los hogares, lo que equivale al consumo energético anual de 64.200 viviendas. Otro resultado relevante del proyecto será la revitalización del sector de la construcción, a través de su especialización en actividades relacionadas con la rehabilitación energética y la promoción de nuevos modelos de negocio relacionados con la construcción sostenible. Desde un punto de vista social, BUILD2LC repercutirá en una reducción de la pobreza energética, a través de la mejora de la eficiencia energética de las viviendas de los colectivos vulnerables. Un aspecto fundamental de este proyecto es la durabilidad y permanencia de los resultados del mismo, ya que las regiones socias han destinado fondos específicos en sus Programas Operativos FEDER para la rehabilitación energética y para llevar a cabo las Moreover, the AEA is also developing the coordination and implementation of activities related to project communication. The other partners are: the Public Investment and Development Agency of Lithuania; the SevernWye Energy Agency in the UK; the Polish Regional Development Agency; the North-West Croatia Regional Energy Agency; Sweden’s Jämtland Härjedalen Region; and the Gorenjska Energy Agency in Slovenia, in addition to the Andalusian Technology Institute. Schedule and working plan The project duration of 54 months is structured into two phases: a first phase lasting 30 months that focuses on the exchange of experiences between the partners and the creation of an action plan by each partner; and a second 24-month phase, comprising the execution of these action plans and their follow-up. When undertaking the action plans, the entities and organisms (both public and private) of every region that impact on the sector will play an essential role, taking part in regional working groups as expert agents. During the first phase, the proposed action plans will be developed and validated, with the results disseminated during the second phase. Expected results By implementing and monitoring the measures contained in the regional action plans, the BUILD2LC project seeks to achieve a substantial increase in the number of refurbished buildings to improve their energy efficiency, thereby fostering a beneficial effect in terms of reduced energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and contributing to the achievement of a low carbon emissions economy. Following the application of the action plans drawn up within the project framework, an estimated reduction of 25% in the energy consumption of fossil fuels will be achieved for the combined partner regions as a whole. In addition, a saving of 21,000MWh per year will be obtained in public buildings and 300,000MWh per year in homes, the equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 64,200 dwellings. Another important result of the project lies in revitalising the construction sector, through its specialisation in activities related to energy refurbishment and to promoting new business models relating to sustainable building. From a social point of view, BUILD2LC will help reduce energy poverty, by improving the energy efficiency in the homes of vulnerable groups. A fundamental aspect of this project is the durability and permanence of its results, given that the partner regions have allocated specific funds under their ERDF Operative Programmes for energy refurbishment and to undertake the measures being proposed within the scope of the project.
