El Hotel Barceló Emperatriz, caracterizado por la reinterpretación palaciega de Madrid del siglo XIX, está situado en pleno barrio de Salamanca. Cuenta con 146 habitaciones, dos salas de reuniones, gimnasio y restaurante. Todas las estancias del hotel son respetuosas con la tradición pero a su vez incorporan artículos de última tecnología encajando con el nuevo concepto “B-Room”: máximo estándar de calidad y comodidad. Con su nuevo plan de ahorro y eficiencia energética Barceló Hotels & Resorts pretende conseguir un ahorro de hasta el 20% en agua, un 70% en gas y un 25% en consumo eléctrico, todo ello con una mínima inversión gracias a sistemas eficientes, de impacto visual mínimo, de sencilla instalación y que ofrezcan grandes prestaciones. El sistema VRV IV de recuperación de calor Daikin ha sido seleccionado para garantizar los niveles de confort en el hotel, por ser una solución integral todo en uno, produce frío/calor para las unidades interiores y ACS, porque garantiza la máxima eficiencia energética, lo que se traduce en ahorro económico, y por la tecnología VRT, que evita corrientes de aire frío, manteniendo el confort en todo momento, algo imprescindible en un hotel de estas características. En concreto, se ha instalado un sistema VRV IV de recuperación de calor compuesto por 16 unidades VRV REYQ, 167 unidades interiores de conductos de altura reducida FXDQ/FXSQ y producción de ACS mediante 8 unidades Hidrobox VRV HXHD125A, que producen agua hasta 80 ºC.
