Este contrato incluye tanto la limpieza viaria como la recogida de residuos y tiene la opción de ser prorrogado por seis años más. Para el servicio de recogida de residuos, ACCIONA y FCC han adquirido cuatro vehículos de recogida de residuos de 26 toneladas de carga lateral, de bajas emisiones y propulsados por GNC. Los chasis adquiridos son Renault D26 Wide 6x2 de dirección trasera chapados a 26 toneladas y con motores de 320 caballos. Los chasis de GNC se compraron para reducir las emisiones de carbono. Para ayudar a reducir la fatiga del conductor, los chasis están equipados con la transmisión automática Allison 3200R con retardador. Los chasis han sido carrozados con unidades de compactación de carga lateral de 26 m3, capaces de vaciar una amplia gama de contenedores, como los de 2400 y 3200 litros, comúnmente utilizados en Colmenar Viejo. La ventaja de la unidad de carga lateral es que la maneja una sola persona, lo que reduce considerablemente los costes de mano de obra. Además, los vehículos están controlados por el SIG y todos los contenedores están etiquetados con RFID. Esta tecnología proporciona datos operativos al municipio en tiempo real, lo que demuestra el excelente rendimiento operativo de ACCIONA y FCC en este servicio. Los nuevos vehículos trabajan en dos turnos de recogida, mañana y tarde. Esto ayuda a mantener Colmenar Viejo limpio y a proteger el medio ambiente. En el turno de mañana, tres vehículos recogen los residuos, uno de los cuales da servicio al centro de Colmenar Viejo, mientras que los dos restantes recogen los residuos de la zona periférica. Por la tarde, un vehículo recoge los residuos en días alternos de las zonas periféricas para ayudar a mantener los volúmenes de residuos bajos. También se recogen los residuos de seis contenedores en el centro de la ciudad todas las tardes. Hay un vehículo que recoge los residuos de envases todas las tardes, así como otro vehículo que recoge residuos similares en tardes alternas. Tanto los residuos de envases como los mixtos se recogen en una mezcla de contenedores de 2400 y 3200 litros. The chassis purchased are Renault D26 Wide 6x2 rear steer’s plated at 26 tonnes, and with 320 horsepower engines. The CNG chassis were acquired with a view to reducing carbon emissions. To help reduce driver fatigue, the chassis are fitted with the Allison 3200R automatic transmission with retarder. The chassis have been bodied with 26 m3 side loading compaction units, capable of emptying a wide range of containers such as the 2400 and the 3200 litre types commonly used throughout Colmenar Viejo. The advantage of the side loading unit is that it is one-man-operated, which significantly reduces labour costs. The vehicles are also GIS-controlled while all containers are RFID-tagged. This technology provides operational data to the municipality in real time, showing the excellent operational performance of ACCIONA and FCC in this service. The new vehicles work on two collection shifts, morning and afternoon, which helps to keep Colmenar Viejo clean, whilst protecting the environment. Three vehicles collect waste on the morning shift, one of which serves the centre of Colmenar Viejo, while the remaining two collect waste from the peripheral area. In the afternoon, one vehicle collects waste on alternate days from the peripheral areas to help keep waste volumes down. Waste is also collected from six containers in the town centre every afternoon. A vehicle collects packaging wastes every afternoon and an additional vehicle collects similar wastes on alternate afternoons. Both the rest fraction and mixed packaging wastes are collected in a combination of 2400 and 3200 litre containers. These are deployed at communal collection points along the street, either at street level or underground. The latter system has a loading aperture at street level for the placement of waste. The drivers of the side loaders can open the lid aperture and raise the containers for emptying, using their in-cab controls. ACCIONA and FCC have also invested in the replacement of all of the containers across the municipality to enhance the waste collection service. ACCIONA and FCC plan to expand the side loader collection service to include paper and cardboard during the next few months, subsequent to the delivery of additional 3200 litre containers.
