El organismo europeo EIT no solo quiere impulsar a estos proveedores de soluciones, sino también ponerlos en contacto con quienes requieren de esas tecnologías. Así, ofrece a las empresas o instituciones que tengan margen de mejora en el uso de recursos hídricos la oportunidad de implementar alguna de las soluciones desarrolladas por las PYMES y start-ups a modo de demo. Entre septiembre y noviembre se organizarán una serie de encuentros, de modo que las compañías seleccionadas podrán presentar sus soluciones a esos potenciales usuarios finales y estos, a su vez, expresarán necesidades reales detectadas relacionadas con el agua y explorarán cómo las innovaciones pueden ayudarles a hacerles frente. Aquellas empresas que estén interesadas en participar en esta iniciativa podrán ponerse en contacto con los organizadores a través de correo waterscarcity@eitfood.eu. Hasta entonces, las 40 compañías disfrutarán de un periodo de tutoría y formación, donde trabajarán con un experto en diferentes áreas como el desarrollo de producto, definición del plan comercial, finanzas e internacionalización. Finalmente, en noviembre, tendrán lugar las competiciones sectoriales, en las que se estudiarán casos específicos proporcionados por esos usuarios finales. Las PYMEs y start-ups participantes también presentarán sus soluciones. Al final de cada competición, optarán a tres premios: el primero está dotado con 12.000€; un segundo premio de 10.000€; y uno especial de 30.000€ para implementar una demo de su solución, que será otorgado a la empresa que más se adapte a las necesidades del cliente final. In the field of Smart agriculture, the company carries out crop analyses to propose prescriptions that lead to a reduction in water and fertiliser consumption (precision agriculture), as well as a significant improvement in end product quality. Within this framework, UTW has developed CropSense, a platform-integrated model that, thanks to Hybrid Remote Sensing (HRS) technology, provides farmers with customised recommendations on water requirements, resulting in irrigation water savings of up to 30%.
