Introducción Las obras en la zona Mahou-Calderón de Madrid se encuentran en pleno desarrollo. Se están llevando a cabo en la margen izquierda del río Manzanares (Arganzuela), comprendiendo el cubrimiento de este tramo de M-30, todavía en superficie. Las actuaciones se desarrollan en los 620 metros existentes entre las dos bocas ya soterradas. Tras la demolición del estadio Vicente Calderón el verano de 2020, comenzaron los trabajos por parte de la UTE formada por Ferrovial y Acciona que finalizarán en la próxima primavera de 2023. Con ello, se dará por finalizado el parque de Madrid Río, uno de los proyectos de transformación urbana más importantes y emblemáticos de este siglo. Se trata de una infraestructura de 40 metros de anchura que dará continuidad ambiental, paisajística y peatonal a la zona de Madrid Río. Además, contribuirá a mejorar la seguridad y movilidad en la M-30 a su paso por el lugar. En una primera fase se está trabajando dentro del recinto conformado por el río y el actual desvío de la M-30; con una mínima afección, pues se está manteniendo la circulación hasta que este desvío sea demolido una vez restituido el tráfico a la calzada definitiva. Introduction Work is well underway on the Mahou-Calderón site in Madrid. The work being carried out on the left bank of the Manzanares River (Arganzuela) includes covering this section of the M-30, which is still above ground.
