Events Somos conscientes que muchas veces es imposible alcanzar todos los criterios de sostenibilidad que nos gustaría, pero es importante tener en cuenta las necesidades de cada evento y, dentro de las opciones disponibles, elegir las que realmente generan un menor impacto ambiental. Un factor importante en la organización de eventos sostenibles es la búsqueda de nuevas opciones, estar continuamente informados, ser autocríticos y analizar qué y cómo podrías mejorar. En este sentido, nos encontrábamos con un gran reto, llevar esa sostenibilidad a los uniformes de las azafatas y azafatos de los actos y jornadas que organizamos tanto para nuestra compañía como para otras entidades. Por ello, era imprescindible vestir a nuestro personal con uniformes ecodiseñados, que minimizasen el uso de diferentes materiales, que utilizasen tejidos orgánicos, que asegurasen la atemporalidad y la durabilidad y cómo no, pudiesen tener una segunda vida cuando se conviertan en residuos. Por ello, elegimos a Ms Worker para hacer posible este gran desafío. MsWorker comparte nuestros valores sociales y medioambientales, cuidando de las personas y del Planeta. Además de ser una marca de diseño y producción española. Con el acuerdo de colaboración firmado el pasado mes con esta marca, vestimos a nuestros azafatas y azafatos con uniformes de la marca MsWorker, intentado así alcanzar la máxima sostenibilidad posible en los eventos que organizamos. El reto es muy grande, pero hemos de alcanzarlo. En la organización de evento no debemos quedarnos con el fácil mensaje, debemos ahondar en la realidad. No basta que la ubicación del evento cuente con recogida selectiva de residuos ¿cuenta ese gestor con una certificación que asegure la trazabilidad de esos residuos? ¿Indica ese gestor cuánto material es incinerado y cuánto reciclado? ¿Sabemos en qué se van a transformar esos residuos? No es suficiente, y hasta sería peligroso, quedarnos sólo con la reciclabilidad de los materiales ¿Cuenta ese producto o envase con un certificado de reciclabilidad? ¿Posee certificados de pruebas en plantas? Más que nunca, hemos de ser críticos y rigurosos en nuestras elecciones. Cuando organizamos un evento, tenemos en cuenta todos estos parámetros, pero aún tenemos asignaturas pendientes que tratamos de vencerlas día a día. Sabemos que una vez superadas, surgirán otros nuevos retos a superar. ¿Qué sería de la vida sin retos?. No somos 100% sostenibles, no somos 100% residuo 0, no somos 100% reciclables, no somos 100% reutilizables, seríamos hipócritas si realizásemos tal afirmación, básicamente porque nadie lo es. Eso sí, intentamos una mejora real y continua y nuestro compromiso con el Planeta y las personas es real. Nos aseguramos de que las decisiones que tomamos estén basadas en la realidad y en la objetividad, no en meros fáciles mensajes publicitarios vacíos. In this sense, we were faced with the great challenge of bringing this sustainability to the uniforms of the hostesses and stewards of the events and conferences we organise both for our company and for other entities. Therefore, it was essential to dress our staff with ecodesigned uniforms, with minimal use of different materials, made of organic fabrics that ensured timelessness and durability and, of course, that had the potential for a second life when they became waste. We chose Ms Worker to enable us to meet this great challenge. Ms Worker shares our social and environmental values, our commitment to taking care of people and the Planet, in addition to being a Spanish brand in terms of both design and production. Through the collaboration agreement signed last month, we are now dressing our hostesses and stewards with Ms Worker uniforms, with a view to achieving the maximum possible sustainability in the events we organise. The challenge is great, but it must be met. When organising an event, we must not just settle for the easy message, we must delve deeper into the reality. It is not enough for the venue of the event to have selective waste collection. Does the manager have certification that ensures the traceability of this waste? Does the manager indicate howmuch material is incinerated and howmuch is recycled? Do we know what this waste is going to be transformed into? It is not enough, and indeed it would be dangerous, to rely only on the recyclability of the materials. Does the product or packaging have a certificate of recyclability? Does it have certification of tests carried out at recycling plants? Now, more than ever, we need to be critical and rigorous in our choices. When we organise an event, we take all these parameters into account, but we still have further challenges that we seek to address on a daily basis. And we know that once they have been overcome, new challenges will arise. What would life be without challenges? We are not 100% sustainable, we are not 100% zero-waste, we are not 100% recyclable and we are not 100% reusable. We would be hypocrites to say we were, basically because nobody is. We do, however, strive for real and continuous improvement and our commitment to the Planet and to people is real. We ensure that the decisions we make are based on reality and objectivity, not just easy, empty advertising messages.
