Destacar también que actualmente en nuestro país la RAP solo se aplica a determinados flujos y que la nueva normativa de envases la extenderá a todos los envases, incluyendo los industriales y comerciales, en los que hasta ahora se aplicaba de forma más limitada. Para Repacar, estos cambios normativos relativos a la RAP son uno de los proyectos más relevantes – sino el más importante -de los próximos meses, ya que definirá un nuevo modelo de gestión de estos residuos de envases. En Repacar, tal y como venimos haciendo desde hace más de 50 años, continuaremos trabajando y manteniendo el contacto con las administraciones públicas y el resto de sectores implicados para posicionar a nuestras empresas, tengan el tamaño o las características que tengan, en estos nuevos esquemás de responsabilidad ampliada. Con todo esto, el 2022 se presenta con muchos retos por delante, muchos de ellos aún por definir y afrontar. No será un año fácil, aún tenemos que recuperarnos de los estragos de la COVID-19 y arrastramos muchas cuestiones “precrisis” que aún están sin resolver. Pese a ello, también será un año emocionante y decisivo para el sector de la gestión de residuos, ya que ante nosotros se encuentra el nuevo escenario que marcará cómo será la gestión de los residuos en el futuro. Un futuro que debemos construir entre todos y en el que la industria del reciclaje jugará un papel fundamental. De este modo, debemos permanecer más unidos que nunca y mantenernos fuertes como sector para afrontar todo lo que está por venir y reivindicar nuestro lugar dentro de ese nuevomodelo económico y social que se está configurando y del que tenemos clara – al menos – una cosa: será circular. household packaging waste, but also industrial and commercial packaging waste. It should also be noted that in Spain, EPR schemes are currently only applied to certain streams and that the new packaging regulations will extend these schemes to all packaging, including industrial and commercial packaging, where it has been applied in a more limited way until now. For Repacar, these legislative changes related to EPR represent one of the most important - if not the most important – projects of the coming months, given that they will define a new management model for this packaging waste, thus determining how waste will be managed in the future. Repacar will continue working to position our companies in this new scenario These changes will pose new challenges not only for EPR schemes, but also for our companies, which will have to adapt to them and claim their place in this new scenario. At Repacar, as we have been doing for more than 50 years, we will continue to work and maintain contact with the public authorities and the other sectors involved to position our companies, regardless of their size or characteristics, in these new extended producer responsibility schemes. All in all, 2022 comes with many challenges ahead, many of them still to be defined and addressed. It will not be an easy year. We still have to recover from the ravages of COVID-19 and we still have many unresolved “pre-crisis” issues to deal with. However, it will also be an exciting and decisive year for the waste management sector, as we are facing a new scenario that will shape the future of waste management. A future that we must all build together and one in which the recycling industry will play a key role. In this scenario, we must be more united than ever and remain strong as a sector to face all that is to come and to claim our place within this new economic and social model currently taking shape. We are at least clear about one thing: it will be a circular model.
