En definitiva, era mostrar cómo somos y cómo queremos ser. Durante el año 2020 nos propusimos avanzar aún más e incorporamos a nuestra gestión los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y la Agenda 2030 a través de un exhaustivo análisis de nuestras fortalezas y debilidades (certificado por AENOR), así como de aquellas oportunidades que se nos planteaban para conseguir un futuro más sostenible y respetuoso con nuestra comunidad. De este análisis salimos con el convencimiento de que habíamos logrado grandes avances en el respeto por el medio ambiente, la circularidad y la contribución a nuestro contexto social, pero que aún había cuestiones que debíamos afianzar. Para ello, establecimos una ruta de trabajo que sematerializó en nuestra Estrategia de Sostenibilidad 2021-2026 y que define los objetivos a medio y largo plazo en torno a cuatro líneas estratégicas: gobernanza, economía circular, excelencia ambiental y compromiso social. Todas estas actuaciones vienen a plasmar el trabajo que Aborgase realiza con nuestros grupos de interés, a la comunicación interna y externa, a la implicación en nuestro contexto social, al cuidado del medio ambiente, al compromiso con la educación ambiental, a la apuesta por la innovación y la economía circular, a la mejora de las condiciones laborales y la seguridad en nuestros centros de trabajo, en definitiva, a la apuesta clara que venimos haciendo por la responsabilidad social. En el mes de diciembre de 2021 publicamos nuestra segunda Memoria de Sostenibilidad, correspondiente al año 2020, en la que damos cuenta de todos los avances que hemos conseguido en este año marcado por la pandemia global del COVID19 y se hace una mención especial a cómo nuestra organización se ha adaptado en tiempo récord a las nueva situación para seguir ofreciendo un servicio esencial a la ciudadanía y, en este caso, al sistema sanitario ofreciendo todas las herramientas necesarias para un óptimo tratamiento de los residuos biosanitarios. De lamismamanera, hemos dado cuenta de la consecución de los retos marcados en la anterior memoria e incluido nuevos para los años venideros, en la línea de seguir avanzando hacia una actividad más circular, más sostenible y comprometida con nuestra comunidad. Para finalizar el año 2021, nos hemos certificado en la norma de Responsabilidad Social IQNet SR10 (AENOR), para ello hemos vuelto a realizar un análisis exhaustivo de nuestra organización y gestión para incorporar la norma, modificando y/o incorporando aquellas cuestiones planteadas por la misma. A partir de aquí seguiremos dando pasos para conseguir nuestramejor versión, buscando la excelencia y nuestra contribución a una sociedadmás justa, sostenible y respetuosa con el medio ambiente. This report provided our stakeholders with an outline of our economic, social and environmental management in 2019. It contained the conclusions of the year in terms of productivity, whilst also setting the objectives that would guide us in subsequent years. Ultimately, it provided a snapshot of what we are and what we wish to be. During 2020, we sought to go further still by incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda into our management process. This was done through an exhaustive analysis of our strengths and weaknesses (certified by AENOR), as well as analysis of the opportunities available to us in terms of achieving a more sustainable and eco-friendly future for our community. We emerged from this analysis with the conviction that we had made great strides in environmental friendliness, circularity and contribution to our social context, but that there were still issues requiring consolidation. For this purpose, we developed a roadmap that formed the basis for our Sustainability Strategy 2021-2026, which defines medium and long-term objectives that revolve around four strategic lines: governance, circular economy, environmental excellence and social commitment. All these actions reflect the work that Aborgase carries out with our stakeholders, our internal and external communication, involvement in our social context, care for the environment, commitment to environmental education, commitment to innovation and the circular economy, and improving working conditions and safety at our work centres. Ultimately, they reflect our firm commitment to social responsibility. In December 2021, we published our second Sustainability Report, corresponding to the year 2020. This report outlines all the progress we made in a year marked by the global COVID 19 pandemic. Special emphasis is placed on how our organisation adapted in record time to continue offering an essential service to the public and, in these circumstances, to the healthcare system by offering all the tools necessary for the optimal treatment of bio-healthcare waste. The report also outlines how the objectives set in the previous report were achieved as well as setting new objectives for the coming years, with a view to continuing along the path towards a more circular, more sustainable activity with even greater commitment to our community. To complete 2021, we achieved certification for compliance with the IQNet SR10 Social Responsibility Standard (AENOR). To obtain this certification, we once again carried out an exhaustive analysis of our organisation and management and we made the necessary modifications and incorporations to achieve compliance with the Standard. Our aim now is to continue to take steps to optimise our organisation, to seek excellence and to reinforce our contribution to a fairer, more sustainable and more environmentally friendly society.
