TREPOVI collaborated with ACCIONA in the construction of the BAHR EL BAQAR treatment plant in Egypt. The treatment plant is one of the largest in the world, with a capacity of 5 million m3/day, and is the largest in Africa. At TREPOVI, we are specialists in the manufacture of fibreglass reinforced polyester (GRP) equipment, for the storage of chemical products and water and air treatment. In 2020, we manufactured the 40 storage tanks for Sodium hydroxide and Ferric chloride that were installed at the BAHR EL BAQAR treatment plant. The project included 28 tanks of 100 m3, diameter 4000 mm and height 8000 mm, for the storage of Ferric chloride at 40%, and 12 tanks of 50 m3, diameter 3000 mm and height 7700 mm, for Sodium hydroxide at 50%. All of the tanks were calculated to perfectly withstand the wind strains, as well as the seismic conditions of the place. Therefore, the tanks were reinforced, and specially calculated anchors were designed. All of these calculations were carried out in our own technical department, further reinstating that if something distinguishes us, it is our technical capacity to carry out the design of the equipment and to be able to adapt it to the needs of our clients. In addition, to facilitate logistics for our customers, in this case we also took care of part of the equipment transport. Durante el año 2020 fabricamos los 40 depósitos para almacenamiento de hidróxido sódico y cloruro férrico que se instalaron en la depuradora de BAHR EL BAQAR. El proyecto contempla 28 depósitos de 100 m3, de diámetro 4000 mm y altura 8000 mm, para el almacenamiento de cloruro férrico al 40%, y 12 depósitos de 50 m3, de diámetro 3000 mm y altura 7700 mm, para hidróxido sódico al 50%. Todos los depósitos se calcularon para soportar perfectamente los esfuerzos originados por el viento, así como las condiciones sísmicas del lugar. Para ello se reforzaron los depósitos, y se colocaron anclajes especialmente calculados para la ocasión. Todos estos cálculos se realizaron en nuestro propio departamento técnico, y es que, si algo nos distingue, es nuestra capacidad técnica de realizar el diseño de los equipos y poder adaptarlos a las necesidades de nuestros clientes. Además, para facilitar la logística a nuestros clientes, en este caso también nos hicimos cargo de una parte del transporte de los equipos.
