La verdad es que nos sentimos muy orgullosos». Fue agradable pasar una jornada en la sede de TEIMAS. Pude comprobar en persona que son un equipo bien avenido, divertido y profesional. Gente que disfruta con su trabajo y que se siente orgullosa de lo que produce. Ya estaba despidiéndome cuando me contaron que todos los viernes, justo antes de terminar la jornada laboral que da paso al fin de semana, celebran una pequeña tradición interna, lo que ellos llaman «La demo semanal». Consiste en una reunión informal de todo el equipo, algunos presentes en la oficina, otros desde sus casas por videoconferencia; en la que tres o cuatro de ellos exponen en presentaciones breves, de apenas un par de minutos cada una, algo que hicieron durante la semana de lo que se sienten orgullosos. No se trata de ‘rendir cuentas’ del trabajo realizado, sino un momento para expresar su satisfacción y alegría por un particular «logro desbloqueado», por pequeño que sea. Una lástima que mi visita a TEIMAS fue un miércoles y no fue posible asistir a su demo semanal. ¡Queda para otra vez! The truth is that we are very proud of this”. It was nice to spend a day at the TEIMAS head office. I was able to see for myself that they are a well-knit, fun and professional team. People who enjoy their work and take pride in what they produce. I was saying my goodbyes when they told me that every Friday, just before the end of the working day that leads into the weekend, they observe a small internal tradition, which they call “the weekly demo”. It consists of an informal meeting of the entire team, some of whom are at the office, while others attend from home by videoconference. Three or four of the team give short presentations of just a couple of minutes each on something they have done during the week of which they are proud. It is not a matter of “accounting for”’ the work that has been done, but rather an opportunity to express satisfaction and joy at a particular “achievement unlocked”, however small it may be. Unfortunately, my visit to TEIMAS took place on a Wednesday and I was unable to attend the weekly demo. Another time!
