FuturENVIRO PROYECTOS,TECNOLOGÍAYACTUALIDADMEDIOAMBIENTAL | ENVIRONMENTALPROJECTS,TECHNOLOGYANDNEWS Número 81 • Junio-Julio 2021 | Issue 81 • June-July 2021 GREEN LIGHT FOR DSEAR PLAN TO ENHANCE PUBLIC WATER POLICY MANAGEMENT In mid-July, the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge signed the order to approve the National Wastewater Treatment, Sanitation, Efficiency, Saving and Reuse Plan (DSEAR Plan). The Plan provides an instrument to facilitate the review of intervention strategies in water policies and to improve the effectiveness of public actions in the areas of sanitation, wastewater treatment and reuse. The DSEAR Plan was drawn up by the Directorate-General for Water with the collaboration of over 200 stakeholders from different fields, including: public authorities, users and managers of the urban water cycle, the energy and irrigation sectors, non-governmental organisations, institutions, universities, foundations, water-related research centres, amongst others. The main lines of action include: improving energy efficiency and the overall efficiency of wastewater treatment and reuse plants, promoting the reuse of wastewater, and promoting innovation and technology transfer in the water sector. As everybody is aware, since the outset, we at FuturENVIRO have been and wish to continue being at the forefront of the dissemination of news and innovation in the water sector. Síguenos en | Follow us on: www.futurenviro.es | Junio-Julio June-July 2021 5 Esperanza Rico Directora LUZ VERDE AL PLAN DSEAR PARA MEJORAR LA GESTIÓN PÚBLICA DE LAS POLÍTICAS DEL AGUA A mitad de julio, el Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico, firmaba la orden de aprobación del Plan Nacional de Depuración, Saneamiento, Eficiencia, Ahorro y Reutilización (Plan DSEAR) como instrumento con el que revisar las estrategias de intervención en las políticas del agua y mejorar la eficacia de las acciones públicas sobre las materias de saneamiento, depuración y reutilización. El Plan DSEAR ha sido elaborado por la Dirección General del Agua con la colaboración de numerosos agentes interesados. Más de doscientas participaciones procedentes de ámbitos diversos: administraciones públicas, usuarios y gestores del ciclo urbano del agua, del sector energético y del regadío, organizaciones no gubernamentales, así como instituciones, universidades, fundaciones, centros de investigación vinculados al agua y otros interesados. Entre los ejes de actuación se consideran como principales: el mejorar la eficiencia energética e integral de las plantas de depuración y reutilización, fomentar la reutilización de las aguas residuales e impulsar la innovación y la transferencia tecnológica en el sector del agua.
