AgroLabs: laboratorios agrícolas en busca de la digitalización inteligente del sector y el caso del Centro IFAPA Alameda del Obispo de Córdoba Bajo el paraguas de la iniciativa FIWARE ZONE, se ha puesto en funcionamiento una iniciativa conjunto al Instituto de Investigación y Formación Agraria y Pesquera (IFAPA) de la Junta de Andalucía denominada ‘AgroLabs’. Se trata de laboratorios en un entorno real de producción agraria, constituidos para proveer de tecnologías de sensorización y comunicaciones al sector agroalimentario. Así, los Agrolabs se construyen para experimentar y testear diferentes soluciones AgroTech basadas en el uso de la tecnología FIWARE, teniendo la misión de: • Validar diferentes servicios y soluciones AgroTech, permitiendo a los usuarios finales comprobar la utilidad de estas propuestas. • Establecer un demostrador permanente de soluciones inteligentes. • Validar el uso de la tecnología FIWARE como instrumento de desarrollo de soluciones específicas para el sector agroalimentario. • Generar multitud de datos experimentales como base para la mejora de la investigación en el sector agroalimentario. De este modo, en el Centro IFAPA Alameda del Obispo de Córdoba cuenta con la tecnología necesaria para la mejora de la gestión de los recursos hídricos en dos cultivos leñosos de gran relevancia, como son el olivo y el almendro. Para ello se han instalado, en diferentes puntos clave, sensores capaces de medir la temperatura y humedad relativa del aire y la temperatura y humedad del suelo a dos profundidades. Estos dispositivos envían sus datos a una plataforma FIWARE en la que también está conectada una estación meteorológica de IFAPA, integrando datos de distintas fuentes con el principal objetivo de aportar una visión mucho más global y holística de lo que está sucediendo en los cultivos. FIWARE ZONE FIWARE ZONE es una iniciativa conjunta de Telefónica y la Consejería de Economía, Conocimiento, Empresas y Universidad de la Junta de Andalucía para el fomento de soluciones tecnológicas relacionadas con el Internet de las Cosas (IoT), basadas en el estándar europeo FIWARE. Concretamente, se trata de una iniciativa ‘open source’ (código abierto) que pretende impulsar la creación de estándares necesarios para desarrollar aplicaciones Smart en diferentes dominios: Smart Cities, Smart Ports, Smart Logistics, Smart Industry y Smart Agrifood entre otros. For this purpose, the IFAPA Centre in Alameda del Obispo in Córdoba has the technology required to improve water resource management in the cultivation of two very important woody crops: olive trees and almond trees. Sensors capable of measuring the temperature and relative humidity of the air, and the temperature and humidity of the soil at two depths have been installed at different key points. These devices send their data to a FIWARE platform to which an IFAPA weather station is also connected. The platform integrates the data from different sources, with the main objective being to provide a far more global and holistic view of what is happening to the crops. FIWARE ZONE FIWARE ZONE is a joint initiative undertaken by Telefónica and the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge, Business and Universities of the Andalusian Regional Government. Its goal is to promote technological solutions related to the Internet of Things (IoT), based on the European FIWARE standard. This open-source initiative specifically seeks to promote the creation of standards needed to develop Smart applications in different domains: Smart Cities, Smart Ports, Smart Logistics, Smart Industry and Smart Agri-food, amongst others. The initiative ultimately aims to support the development of the business and entrepreneurial ecosystem linked to the Internet of Things (IoT); to provide training in leading IoT technologies; to provide businesses and entrepreneurs with a development environment that facilitates access to data banks, testing and final certification of their products and services; and to promote FIWARE technology as a European standard.
