Necesitamos la ayuda de alguien que nos ensene a resolver los problemas y nos guie paso a paso. Por eso trabajamos con HSM. Tenemos contacto directo con los técnicos de servicio de HSM, que conocen muy bien las maquinas y pueden transmitir sus conocimientos. Para la empresa Nord-Ost, que trabaja a tres y hasta cuatro turnos, contar con una asistencia tecnica adecuada es muy importante. Si una prensa de balas deja de funcionar aunque sea solo durante un turno, se produce una gran cantidad de material no compactado. El cambio de los procesos de trabajo y la reasignación de personal para el transporte y la compactación del material en otra prensa tiene un efecto negativo en la eficiencia de la producción. El director de Nord-Ost habla en términos muy positivos sobre las prensas de balas HSM. No recuerdo ninguna avería grave de ninguna de estas maquinas. Ademas de las revisiones programadas, nunca hemos necesitado un servicio de reparación tras el vencimiento de la garantía. La revisión se centro en el cambio de las juntas en el mecanismo de unión. No hubo ningun problema y la maquina volvió a entrar en funcionamiento enseguida. Podría decirse que estas prensas de balas no causan ningún problema. Hay que indicar que las prensas de balas se encuentran a cubierto en naves de producción sin calefacción. De ese modo no sufren ningun problema a pesar de las bajas temperaturas, que pueden ser realmente bajas. Cuando la temperatura baja hasta los -20 °C en el centro de Polonia, aqui llegamos casi a -30 °C . El director de Nord-Ost también nos habla del rendimiento de las maquinas HSM. La calidad de las balas no deja nada que desear. Todas tienen una forma regular, por lo que son muy fáciles de apilar tanto en el almacen como en los camiones. Gracias a su alto grado de compactación, podemos cargar mas de 70 balas con un peso total de aprox. 20 toneladas en un único remolque. Son maquinas muy recomendables para empresas con necesidades similares. Lo único que hay que elegir es el modelo adecuado para adaptarse a la clase y a la cantidad del residuo compactado, concluye Eugeniusz Zapolnik. Las prensas de balas HSM VK 4212 parecen hechas a medida para nuestra empresa. Tienen cierta reserva de rendimiento y funcionan bien con los dos tipos de recortes que tenemos, restos de cartón y cartón ondulado, que tiene una estructura mucho mas rigida y requiere una mayor fuerza de prensado. En ambos casos obtenemos balas bien compactadas y de forma regular, fáciles de almacenar y de cargar. Nunca hemos tenido problemas de ruptura de las balas, por lo que puedo recomendar el uso de estas maquinas para empresas con requisitos similares. When investing in new machinery, the Managing Director of Nord-Ost has clearly defined requirements. “When making such purchases, price is an important factor for us, but service and also the length of the warranty are no less important. Machines from wellknown manufacturers are usually more durable. Although this is not the most important criterion, it excludes a certain group of machines that fail the day after the warranty period expires. Of course, any machine can fail, but it is important to have a contact person if a problem arises. I did not want to have to look for a company to do the servicing. I wanted to be able to rely on a suitable partner. In many cases we can fix problems ourselves, i.e., without a service call-out, but sometimes we need professional support. We expect help from someone who can show us a way to solve the problem and guide us through it step by step. That is what happens with HSM. We have direct contact with HSM service technicians who know the machines very well and who can pass on their expertise.” For the Nord-Ost company, which operates in three and sometimes even four shifts, good service support is very important. If a baling press breaks down for even one shift, it generates large amounts of waste material which has to be moved and stored elsewhere. Changing workflows and reassigning personnel to other tasks has a negative impact on overall production efficiency. The Managing Director of Nord-Ost also speaks positively about the HSM baling presses themselves. “I cannot recall any serious breakdown of any of the machines. Apart from the regular maintenance, a post-warranty repair has only been carried out once. This involved the replacement of seals on the connection mechanism. The repair went smoothly and the machine was quickly ready for use again. So it can be said that these balers are trouble-free. It should also be mentioned that the baling presses are located under nonheated roofing connected to the production halls. Nevertheless, they do not cause us any problems, even during the most severe frosts. And these can be really severe. When the temperature drops to -20 °C in central Poland, it is usually -30 °C here.” The Managing Director of Nord-Ost talks about the performance of HSM machines in similar terms. “The quality of the bales leaves nothing to be desired. The bales have a regular shape, which makes them easy to stack both in the warehouse and on the trucks. Thanks to their high degree of compaction, we can fit more than 70 bales with a total weight of approx. 20 tons into one truck. These machines are therefore highly recommendable for similar companies. All that remains is to choose the right model so that it is suitable for the type and amount of waste being compacted,” concludes Eugeniusz Zapolnik. “HSMVK 4212 seem to be custom-built for our company. They have a certain degree of reserve capacity and work well with the two types of trimmings we have, carboard and corrugated cardboard trimmings. The latter are far more rigid and requires a much greater pressing force. In both cases, the machine provides us with well-compacted, regular, easy-to-store and easy-to-load bales. We have never had problems of bales breaking and I would recommend these baling presses to companies with similar requirements”.
