Para ello, a finales de 2020, y coincidiendo con el quinto aniversario de la COP21, desde el Clúster presentamos el mapa interactivo ‘Ambición, Acción y Alianzas para la neutralidad climática’. Con el foco en tres ejes “Ambición, Acción y Alianzas”, este mapa profundiza en las nueve palancas fundamentales para esta transformación que las empresas deben considerar, destacando en él las principales herramientas prácticas, organizaciones de referencia, retos y oportunidades empresariales, entre otros aspectos. De esta forma abordamos cuestiones que van desde el alineamiento con la ciencia a la transición energética, pasando por el papel de las soluciones basadas en la naturaleza, el riesgo climático o las opciones para la reducción de emisiones. Sabemos, por tanto, que el cambio climático es el mayor reto al que se enfrenta la humanidad (de nuevo ya en enero de 2021 volvemos a ver sus efectos con el temporal de nieve Filomena) y también conocemos (los gobiernos, las empresas, la sociedad civil) qué acciones debemos llevar a cabo para poder mitigarlo y adaptarnos a sus impactos. Pero la emergencia climática se une ahora a un desafío que no esperábamos, el de las consecuencias de la pandemia provocada por el COVID-19 y al que se unirá el previsible colapso de los ecosistemas en el medio plazo. Así que ahora es el momento. Es el momento de unir fuerzas, de aliarnos, de colaborar, de ayudarnos los unos a los otros, poner nuestro conocimiento a disposición y de aprovechar las sinergias que nos permitirán llegar lejos antes. Y las mujeres, sin duda, tienen un papel imprescindible en esta “batalla” por asegurar un desarrollo sostenible. Ahora es el momento de emplear el potencial femenino, su conocimiento, su capacidad de innovación y su sensibilidad para aportar soluciones y resolver los retos que el futuro de nuestro planeta nos depara. With the focus on three pillars, “Ambition, Action and Alliances”, this map examines the nine fundamental levers for this transition that businesses must take into account, and highlights the main practical tools, benchmark organisations, and business challenges and opportunities, amongst other aspects. In this way, we address issues ranging from alignment with science to energy transition, including the role of nature-based solutions, climate risk and ways of achieving reductions in emissions. We know, therefore, that climate change is the greatest challenge facing humanity (we saw its effects once again in January of this year with the Storm Filomena snowfalls) and we (governments, businesses, civil society) know the actions we must undertake to mitigate it and adapt to its impacts. But the climate emergency is now joined by a challenge we did not expect, the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, which will be accompanied by the foreseeable collapse of ecosystems in the medium term. So now is the time. The time to join forces, to form partnerships, to collaborate, to help each other, to put our know-how at the disposal of all and to avail of the synergies that will enable us to go far. And women, unquestionably, have a vital role to play in this “battle” to guarantee sustainable development. Now is the time to implement female potential, knowledge, capacity for innovation and sensibility to provide solutions and overcome the challenges that the future of our planet poses. Let us not fail to avail of this potential.
