A ellas, se suman muchas otras que, pese a no ser conocidas y a las dificultades y los retos del camino, contribuyen con su trabajo diario desde sus organizaciones y empresas, universidades y centros de investigación, ONG o medios de comunicación, a continuar trabajando para mejorar la gestión de los principales retos ambientales a los que nos enfrentamos a nivel global: el cambio climático, el modelo de producción y consumo de recursos naturales y la crisis de biodiversidad. Desde Forética, organización empresarial de referencia en España en materia de sostenibilidad y representante nacional del World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), trabajamos para ayudar a empresas y organizaciones a incorporar la perspectiva ambiental, social y de buen gobierno en sus estrategias corporativas. En concreto en el área ambiental de Forética, en la que trabajo desde hace siete años, puedo destacar el trabajo realizado por uno de nuestros grupos, el Clúster de Cambio Climático. Este Clúster, formado por casi 60 grandes empresas en 2020, constituye el punto empresarial referente en el liderazgo, conocimiento, intercambio y diálogo en materia de cambio climático en España. Desde su lanzamiento en el año 2016 hemos generado conocimiento alrededor de temas de actualidad claves para el sector privado en España (como el carbon pricing, el impacto financiero del cambio climático, el marco de reporting del Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), las claves de la economía baja en carbono, la importancia de la acción climática en las ciudades o el vínculo entre el cambio climático y la naturaleza), hemos contado con la visión de expertos, testimonios empresariales y administraciones públicas de alto nivel en materia ambiental, como la Comisión Europea, el WBCSD, We Mean Business, el Champion de la COP25, Gonzalo Muñoz, así como representantes del Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y la Oficina Española de Cambio Climático, entre otros. Asimismo, a través de nuestros canales, medios y foros colaboradores hemos contribuido a la difusión y comunicación de la actividad realizada por el propio Clúster y sus empresas. And there are many others who, despite not being well known and despite the difficulties and challenges associated with the path, contribute with their daily work in their organisations, companies, universities, research centres, NGOs and the media to improving the management of the main environmental challenges facing us globally: climate change, the model for production and consumption of natural resources and the biodiversity crisis. At Forética, the leading Spanish employers’ organisation in the area of sustainability and Spain’s representative on theWorld Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), we are working to help companies and organisations to incorporate environmental, social and good governance perspectives into their corporate strategies. In the environment area of Forética, where I have been working for seven years, I would highlight the work being carried out by one of our groups, the Climate Change Cluster. This Cluster, made up of 60 large companies in 2020, constitutes the most important business benchmark in leadership, knowledge, exchange and dialogue in the area of climate change in Spain. Since its launch in 2016, we have generated knowledge of key current issues for the private sector in Spain (such as carbon pricing, the financial impact of climate change, the reporting framework of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the keys to the low-carbon economy, the importance of climate action in cities, and the link between climate change and nature). We have had the benefit of the vision of experts, and testimonies from the business world and high-level public authorities in the environmental area, such as the European Commission, the WBCSD,We Mean Business, the COP25 Champion, Gonzalo Muñoz, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the Spanish Climate Change Office and others. Moreover, through our channels, media and collaborative forums, we have contributed to the dissemination and communication of the activity carried out by the Cluster itself and its companies. Our main goal in 2020 was to guide businesses on how to address the transition to a carbon-neutral economy in a practical way, as set out by the European Green Deal and in alignment with the Paris Accord.
