www.futurenviro.es FuturEnviro | Diciembre 2020/Enero 2021 December 2020/January 2021 5 Editorial Editorial Primer Plan de Acción de Economía Circular En este número de residuos contamos con tribunas de análisis y opinión de los principales expertos del sector, voces más que autorizadas, para analizar las oportunidades asociadas a la política europea en reciclaje y en gestión y tratamiento de residuos, en tiempos de planes de recuperación; de alineación de los objetivos hacia una economía circular y de desarrollo económico y social; de innovación tecnológica y de políticas públicas. Durante este año, estaremos muy en contacto con el sector, más si cabe, para difundir y anticiparnos a los pasos del mercado en el sector de los residuos, ante las iniciativas europeas para hacer frente a la crisis e impulsar la transición ecológica y digital. También nos ocuparemos de los cambios normativos y avances tecnológicos que marcarán la senda hacia la economía circular en el sector de los residuos. Además, en el marco de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y del Pacto Verde formulado por la Unión Europea, se perfila una situación ideal para que el sector de los residuos y del medio ambiente aporte su granito de arena y sea idóneo para ser una posible palanca de recuperación y adaptación, a la vez que un gran impulsor del Green Deal, que permitirá recuperar el empleo perdido en la crisis. Al cierre editorial de este especial concluye el proceso de información pública del primer Plan de Acción de Economía Circular 2021-2023, cuyo objetivo es materializar medidas concretas en el desarrollo de la Estrategia Española de Economía Circular a desarrollar por la Administración General del Estado, para implementar actuaciones en economía circular en España. El primer Plan de Acción contiene 112 medidas que se articulan en torno a ejes de actuación como es la producción, el consumo, la gestión de residuos, las materias primas secundarias, así como la sensibilización y participación, la investigación, la innovación y competitividad, y el empleo y la formación. ¡Para estar al día de toda la actualidad, no te pierdas los especiales de reciclaje, gestión y tratamiento de residuos, economía circular, Agenda 2030 y los Plant Report que publicaremos a lo largo de este 2021! First Circular Economy Action Plan This special issue on waste features opinion and analysis articles by the leading experts in the sector, voices with more than sufficient authority to analyse the opportunities associated with: European recycling, and waste management and treatment policies in times of recovery plans; the alignment of objectives to facilitate a circular economy, and economic and social development; and innovation in the areas of technology and public policy. Throughout this year, we will be in closer contact than ever with the sector to provide information and anticipate market developments in the world of waste, in a context of European initiatives to address the crisis, and to drive green and digital transition.We will also be focusing on the legislative changes and technological advances that will mark the path towards the circular economy in the waste sector. Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green Deal, the waste and environment sector is ideally placed make a telling contribution as a potential facilitator of recovery and adaptation, as well as a major driver of the Green Deal, which in turn will enable the recovery of jobs lost during the crisis. As this issue goes to press, the public consultation process for first Circular Economy Action Plan (2021-2023) is coming to an end. The aim of this plan is to implement specific measures and actions set out in the Spanish Circular Economy Strategy, drawn up by Spain’s National State Administration. The first Action Plan contains 112 measures in areas of central importance such as production, consumption, waste management, secondary raw materials, awareness and participation, research, innovation and competitiveness, and employment and training.
