Cuando parecía que salíamos de la grave crisis del año 2008, con grandes dudas de si realmente era cierto, nos encontramos con otra mucho más grave, sin parangón. El país paralizado y nosotros confinados. Muy pocos de nosotros habremos vivido algo parecido. Nos sorprendió la crisis actual en una situación buena o muy buena. Y hemos podido sobrevivir, en unas condiciones inimaginables hace unos cuantos años, aunque con grandes diferencias entre los habitantes del país Hemos adaptado muchas de nuestras actividades a la nueva situación y hemos tenido a nuestra disposición unos medios extraordinarios, como son las pantallas, para vernos con los familiares, compañeros de trabajo, clientes, amigos, etc. Hemos podido hacer gestiones telemáticas con las administraciones y todos, o muchos, hemos avanzado en el mundo digital. Hemos reducido muchos viajes y hemos ganado tiempo y reducido nuestra huella de carbono. Seguro que el mundo será un poco diferente después de lo que estamos viviendo. Nuestra Asociación ha vivido la crisis intensamente y nos hemos adaptado razonablemente bien, perdiendo la oportunidad que nos ofrecen los actos que organizamos de juntarnos, ver como evolucionamos, recordar anécdotas, ponernos al día con los colegas y otras muchas cosas que aporta el contacto directo. Desde el año 2019 estábamos programando una JORNADA TÉCNICA sobre lareutilización de las aguas, actividad constante de ADECAGUA desde el macro congreso de Marbella, que se organizó en los primeros años 90 con la participación intensa de la Water Environment Federation y un grupo de entusiastas, liderados por el fundador y primer Presidente de ADECAGUA, Gamaliel Martínez de Bascaran. Desde entonces, con una cierta regularidad, ADECAGUA ha organizado jornadas técnicas y otros actos sobre el tema, como un workshop restringido a expertos sobre la norma ISO. Entrando en vigor la primera normativa europea que regula el riego agrícola, desde ADECAGUA consideramos que era oportuno y necesario debatir el nuevo escenario en que se moverá la reutilización en España, organizando una jornada de acuerdo con las siguientes consideraciones: Nuestro país es el país europeo en donde se reutiliza más agua y somos uno de los pocos que disponemos de un reglamento, el cual regula muchos usos, entre ellos el de riego agrícola. España es una potencia agrícola, con un gran consumo de agua para este uso.No disponemos de mucha agua, e irregularmente distribuida. La agricultura es más productiva en los lugares más soIn this country, we are always struggling. Coming out of a crisis. Just when it seemed that we were emerging from the serious crisis of 2008, with significant doubts about whether we really were, we find ourselves in another, far more serious crisis of unprecedented dimensions. Very few of us will have experienced anything like it. The current crisis took us by surprise when we were in a good, or indeed very good, situation. And we have managed to survive, in conditions that would have been unimaginable a few years ago, and with great variations between different people living in the country. We have adapted many of our activities to the new situation and we have had extraordinary resources at our disposal, such as the online technology that allows us to meet with our family, workmates, customers, friends, etc. We have been able to carry out online procedures with public authorities and all or many of us have made progress in the digital world. We have travelled much less, gained time and reduced our carbon footprints. The world will surely be a little different after what we have been through. Our Association has lived through the crisis intensely and we have adapted reasonably well, though we have missed the opportunity afforded by the events we organise to get together, to see how we are evolving, to tell anecdotes, to bring ourselves up to date with our colleagues, and many other things that direct contact facilitates. Since 2019, we have been holding a Technical Seminar on water reuse. Such events have been a constant in the activities of ADECAGUA from the time of the first macro-congress, held in the 1990s in Marbella with the active participation of theWater Environment Federation and a group of enthusiasts led by Gamaliel Martínez de Bascaran, the founder and first President of ADECAGUA . Since then, ADECAGUA has regularly organised technical seminars and other events on this topic, including a workshop exclusively for experts on the ISO standard.
