www.futurenviro.es FuturEnviro | Septiembre/Octubre September/October 2020 5 Editorial Editorial Nuestros mejores deseos al Plan DSEAR A finales de octubre, el Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO) abría el periodo de consulta pública y participación activa sobre el borrador del Plan Nacional de Depuración, Saneamiento, Eficiencia, Ahorro y Reutilización (Plan DSEAR) y su Estudio Ambiental Estratégico. Los resultados del Plan DSEAR se traducirán tanto en reformas jurídicas, como en un mejor enfoque de los planes hidrológicos que actualmente se encuentran en revisión y han de hacerse públicos en el primer trimestre de 2021. El Plan DSEAR, presenta un conjunto de propuestas que sirven para identificar y priorizar las actuaciones y medidas ya recogidas en la planificación hidrológica en materia de depuración, saneamiento y reutilización de las aguas residuales regeneradas. Este plan no constituye un listado de inversiones, puesto que éstas ya se organizan en los programas de medidas de los planes hidrológicos, sino que se trata de un instrumento de gobernanza para impulsar la revisión de las estrategias de intervención seguidas hasta ahora. Por nuestra parte ya contamos con nuestro programa editorial para el año 2021, en el que hemos incluido interesantes guías técnicas como es la de contadores inteligentes y de membranas de filtración. La innovación y las nuevas tecnologías juegan un importante papel en el sector del agua, ya que contribuyen a una mayor optimización de los recursos y los medios de producción y a facilitar la gestión de la explotación y a la mejora de su productividad y eficiencia. Es por ello, que en nuestro calendario editorial para el próximo año, hemos ampliado el número de especiales de Smart Water para difundir y dar a conocer todos los avances en digitalización e innovación del sector del agua. Our best wishes for the Plan DSEAR At the end of October, the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) opened the period of public consultation and active participation for the draft National Water Treatment, Sanitation, Efficiency, Saving and Reuse Plan (Plan DSEAR), as well as for the associated Strategic Environmental Assessment. The Plan will result in legal reform and better definition of the River Basin Management Plans, which are currently under review and due to be made public in the first quarter of 2021. The Plan DSEAR presents a set of proposals which aim to identify and prioritise actions and measures envisaged in the River Basin Plans in the area of water treatment, sanitation and reuse of reclaimed wastewater. The plan does not constitute a list of investments, as these are included in the programmes of measures of the River Basin Management Plans. Instead, it serves as an instrument of governance to promote the review of intervention strategies pursued to date. With respect to FuturENVIRO, we have now concluded work on our editorial programme for 2021, which includes technical guides of great interest in areas such as smart meters and filtration membranes. Innovation and new technologies play an important role in the water sector because they help to optimise resources and the means of production, whilst facilitating management, and improving productivity and efficiency. For this reason, our editorial programme for next year features more issues devoted to Smart Water. Our aim is to provide all the latest information on digitisation and innovation in the water sector.
