Pedagogía y transferencia conocimiento. Los objetivos que se establecieron desde un principio por la entidad Contratante y el compromiso adquirido desde la Dirección del proyecto, han permitido tejer y fortalecer el Programa de Capacitación y Educación Ambiental; el cual se desarrollaría simultáneamente con el inicio de la Construcción de uno de los Proyectos más ambiciosos que se ejecuta hoy en día y que apunta a convertirse en una oportunidad para recuperar el río Bogotá. El compromiso de CEPS, ha ido más allá de cumplir lo establecido en un documento que sirve como guía de implementación y la guía de seguimiento de la Autoridad Nacional. Desde el inicio de la obra Civil, paralelamente se construían dos espacios adecuados para adelantar nuestro ambicioso Programa de capacitación y Educación Ambiental; es así cómo nace el Aula del Agua, con un contexto en marcado en el Recurso Hídrico, su nacimiento, su proceso de potabilización, su distribución y su tratamiento, adicionalmente, nace la necesidad de diseñar y crear piezas informativas especiales, que nos permitiera llegar a nuestros jóvenes; pero aquí no para, debíamos llegar a los estudiantes universitarios y adultos que también hacen parte fundamental de los procesos de pedagogía. El siguiente paso era cómo llegar a los más pequeños, cómo crear y generar un espacio adecuado para ellos. Esa labor fue más exigente, crear personajes, generar un contexto que nos permitiera contarle a los niños y niñas que nos visitan que existe un río que este cuerpo de agua cuenta con unos aliados y que esos aliados se llaman humedales, los cuales son ecosistemas maravillosos que albergan vida, que tienen una labor en el mundo, es así que nace la Casa del Curí, la que inicialmente sirvió de hospedaje de alguno de estos animalitos, presentes en el predio destinado para el proyecto y que adicionalmente, habían otras especies que teníamos que salvaguardar. El programa no solo establece actividades en el proyecto, también dispone de actividades que corresponden a talleres en colegios y jardines infantiles, realizándose tareas con maletines pedagógicos, cargados de enseñanza y juegos que nos permiten realizar actividades interactivas, todos pueden participar, incluyendo los docentes. Revisada las actividades que el grupo de Gestión Social de CEPS y la dirección del proyecto, se identificó que existía otra oportunidad para socializar el proyecto, esa población son los estudiantes de universidades de las facultades de Ingeniería Civil, Ambiental, Arquitectura, entre otras, y así se iniciaron las actividades en diferentes The CEPS consortium plays an active role in theWomen in Concrete Alliance-WICA, an association that works to promote the integration of women in all areas of construction. Education and Knowledge transfer The objectives established from the beginning by the contracting authority and the commitment of the project management team enabled the creation and consolidation of the Environmental Education and Training Program. This Program began at the same time as construction work started on one of the most ambitious projects being executed today and one that will provide an opportunity to recover the Bogota River. CEPS’ commitment has gone beyond compliance with a document that serves as an implementation guide and the monitoring guide of the National Authority. From the beginning of the construction work, two suitable spaces were built in parallel to advance our ambitious Environmental Education and Training Program. Thus theWater Classroom was born, with a clear focus on the water resource and the source, purification, distribution and treatment of water. There was also a need to design and create special informative pieces to enable us to reach to our young people. But it does not stop there. Our goal was to reach students and adults, who also form a vital part of educational processes. The next step was how to reach the youngest members of our society and create a suitable space for them. That job was more demanding and involved the creation of characters and a context that would allow us to tell the boys and girls who visit us that there is a river, that this body of water has allies called wetlands, which are wonderful ecosystems that house life and have a function in the world. This is how the Casa de Curí was born, which initially served as a shelter for some of the animals to be found on the project site and there were also other species that had to be safeguarded. The Program not only establishes activities within the project, but also activities such as workshops in schools and kindergartens, in which educational briefcases full of teaching tools and games allow us to carry out interactive activities, in which everyone can participate, including teachers. After reviewing the activities implemented by the CEPS Social Management group and the project management, a further opportunity to increase the social impact of the project was identified. This involved students from universities in the faculties of Civil Engineering, Environment Sciences and Architecture, amongst others.We started activities in different universities at local and national level, within the framework of Knowledge Transfer. A project of this magnitude serves as an example for many students of how construction work should be carried out. The project could also be an interesting topic for degree project work and graduates have the opportunity to seek employment in this megaproject. All these routes to participation in the project are ways to involve our future professionals in a project that is set to play a very positive role in the recovery of the Bogota River and any such participation is a source of great satisfaction to us. Nature classrooms These spaces, created by the Consorcio Expansión PTAR Salitre for the purpose of serving our visitors and students, are designed to teach the importance of caring for ecosystems and the environment.
