España y América Latina | Spain & Latin América ACCIONA ha comenzado la construcción de la planta de tratamiento de agua (PTAR) de Bella Vista, una de las tres plantas de nueva construcción contempladas en el programa de saneamiento de la bahía de Asunción (Paraguay). El proyecto, por un importe de US$19M, incluye la puesta en marcha con una capacidad inicial de tratamiento de 2 metros cúbicos por segundo, aunque la planta se dimensionará para poder duplicar su capacidad y alcanzar los 4,4 metros cúbicos por segundo. La planta de Bella Vista forma parte del programa integral para descontaminar la bahía de la capital de Paraguay y mejorar las condiciones sanitarias y ambientales de la población del área metropolitana de Asunción que vive en las cuencas de los arroyos urbanos que desembocan en la bahía. El programa cuenta con la financiación del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID). Esta planta permitirá avanzar en el programa de saneamiento, cuya primera fase ya fue adjudicada a ACCIONA. La compañía fue elegida para rehabilitar y ampliar las redes de alcantarillado sanitario en las cuencas de los barrios de Varadero y Bella Vista, que abarcan 52 kilómetros, y la construcción de sus respectivas plantas de pretratamiento. Esta primera fase se completa con la construcción del colector Florencia Villamayor. En el 2018, ACCIONA puso en marcha el nuevo sistema de telecontrol de la red de abastecimiento de Asunción (Paraguay), un proyecto que permitió optimizar el suministro de agua potable a más de 1,5 millones de habitantes. El proyecto incluía la automatización y telecontrol de la planta de tratamiento de agua potable (PTAP) Viñas Cué, de 16 pozos y de 15 centros de distribución repartidos por Gran Asunción. Además, se han construido dos centros de datos redundantes, uno en la Casa Central de la ESSAP y otro en PTAP Viñas Cué, para la monitorización de la red. The contract has a value of US$ 19M and includes commissioning the plant with an initial capacity of 2 cubic metres per second, although it will be sized for double that capacity, i.e. to achieve a treatment capacity of 4.4 cubic metres per second. The Bella Vista plant is part of a comprehensive programme to decontaminate the bay of Asunción, Paraguay’s capital city, and improve the health and environmental conditions of the population of Greater Asuncion in the catchment areas of the rivers that flow into the bay. The programme is financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). This plant will contribute to achieving the objectives of the sanitation programme. The contract for the first phase of this programme was awarded to ACCIONA and consists of upgrading and expanding 52 kilometres of sewers in the Varadero and Bella Vista districts, and building the respective pre-treatment plants associated with these sewage networks. The first phase will be completed with the construction of the Florencia Villamayor sewer. In 2018, ACCIONA implemented the new remote monitoring and control system for the water supply network in Asunción (Paraguay), a project that optimised the supply of drinking water to more than 1.5 million people. The project included automation and remote control of the Viñas Cué drinking water treatment plant, 16 wells and 15 distribution centres distributed throughout Greater Asunción. In addition, two redundant data centres were built to monitor the network, one at the ESSAP headquarters and the other at the Viñas Cué plant. La operación incluye el 100% de las acciones de Agua y Gestión del Ciclo Integral, el 40% de las acciones de la Empresa Mixta de Aguas de Guadix (Granada) y los contratos de concesión otorgados a su empresa matriz, Agua y Gestión S.A. por los ayuntamientos de Huéscar (Granada) y San José del Valle (Cádiz). Quedan excluidas del acuerdo las sociedades que operan en El Ejido (Almería). Con esta operación Aqualia pasará a gestionar los servicios municipales de agua de 18 nuevos municipios en Badajoz, Cáceres, Cádiz, Granada, Almería y Ciudad Real.
