Una canción preciosa que os recomendamos escuchar pues además, con cada escucha contribuirás con Oxfam Intermon a que más personas tengan acceso a agua potable. La iniciativa parte del hecho de que, en el mundo 2.100 millones de personas (tres de cada diez), carecen de acceso a agua potable en su hogar. El contagio de enfermedades causadas por el agua en mal estado o la falta de higiene, provocan más de 840.000 muertes al año. Por ello, Benjamín Prado y Shuarma (vocalista de Elefantes) han querido, desde su poesía y su música, abordar esta situación extrema con la canción Agua. Iniciativa a la que se ha sumado Manolo García aportando su emblemática voz. Los derechos del tema, producido por Warner Music España, servirán para que Oxfam Intermón proporcione agua, saneamiento e higiene a más personas. Cada día mueren mil niñas y niños a causa del agua en mal estado, la falta de saneamiento o una higiene adecuada. Oxfam Intermón es una organización experta en proyectos de agua, higiene y saneamiento. En el último año, Oxfam Intermón ha atendido a más de 15 millones de personas en situación de emergencia, desde Yemen, donde se proporciona agua y saneamiento a más de dos millones de personas, hasta Siria, pasando por las personas rohingya refugiadas en Bangladesh o habitantes de las zonas más remotas de Somalilandia, en el cuerno de África. Los beneficios generados por la escucha o descarga de la canción o visualización del video de la misma, se traducirán en litros de agua. Con esta iniciativa se han marcado el reto de lograr durante el verano el equivalente a llenar 9 camiones cisterna de agua, para las comunidades más necesitadas del cuerno de África. Os deseamos un feliz verano, escuchando y compartiendo esta canción, nunca fue tan musical y fácil aportar nuestra gota de agua para aquellos que no tienen la suerte de disfrutar de este derecho universal. A thousand children die every day due to water in bad condition, lack of sanitation or inadequate hygiene. Oxfam Intermon is an organisation with expertise in water, hygiene and sanitation projects. In the last year, Oxfam Intermon has attended to over 15 million people in situations of emergency, from Yemen, where it provides water and sanitation to over two million people, to Syria. The organisation also provides aid to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and inhabitants of the remotest parts of Somaliland, in the Horn of Africa, amongst others. The profits from downloading, watching the video or listening to the song will be channelled into litres of water.
