A. y ubicada en el término municipal de Ciempozuelos, debe cumplir los objetivos marcados en la citada legislación, en particular en lo que a la eliminación de nutrientes se refiere. El promotor de la EDAR de Soto Gutiérrez es Canal de Isabel II, S. A., siendo el área responsable el Área de Construcción de Depuración y Reutilización, siendo la constructora la constructora FCC Construcción S. A. y la asistencia técnica ha sido lleva a cabo por la UTE Euroconsul-Getinsa/Payma. El objeto del proyecto fue definir las actuaciones necesarias para modificar la línea de tratamiento existente, permitiendo la eliminación de nitrógeno para dicho caudal, ya que la retirada de fósforo se está llevando a cabo de manera efectiva en la actualidad. La depuradora de Soto Gutiérrez se compone de diferentes elementos ejecutados en distintas fases. En la 1ª fase (1990) se ejecutó una línea de agua doble formada por decantación primaria, reactor biológico y decantación secundaria, junto a una línea de fangos con digestión aerobia. En una 2ª fase (2001) se amplió el pretratamiento y se duplicó la línea de agua, reformando el digestor aerobio como nuevo reactor biológico, además de implementarse una línea de fangos nueva con digestión anaerobia. En una 3ª fase posterior se añadió un tratamiento terciario con el objetivo de reutilizar parte del caudal. La depuradora en la actualidad tiene una capacidad de tratamiento media de 26.000 m3/día, con cuatro líneas de igual capacidad, disponiendo de terreno libre para su ampliación en un 50%. La planta estaba concebida inicialmente para la eliminación de carbono, contando en la actualidad con un proceso de eliminación de fósforo por vía química, mediante la dosificación de cloruro férrico. SITUACIÓN ACTUAL Una vez ejecutadas las obras previstas, la EDAR ha pasado a contar con 5 líneas de proceso con capacidad para la eliminación de nitrógeno. The objective of the design project was to define the necessary modifications to the existing treatment lines in order to achieve the required nitrogen removal targets, given that phosphorus removal was currently being carried out effectively. The Soto GutiérrezWastewater Treatment plant is made up of a number of elements constructed in different stages. In Stage 1 (1990), a dual water line was built. This line comprised primary settling, a bioreactor and secondary settling, along with a sludge line with aerobic digestion. Stage 2 (2001) saw pretreatment being extended and the capacity of the water line was doubled. The aerobic digester was renovated as a new bioreactor and a new sludge line with anaerobic digestion was implemented. Stage 3 subsequently saw the addition of tertiary treatment with a view to reusing part of the flow. The plant currently has an average treatment capacity of 26,000 m3/day. It features four lines of equal capacity and sufficient free land to extend this capacity by 50%. The facility was initially conceived for carbon removal and now features a chemical phosphorus removal process with ferric chloride dosing. CURRENT SITUATION On completion of the envisaged works, theWWTP now has 5 process lines with nitrogen removal capacity. The new scenario was achieved through the building of a new primary settling
