abs EVENTS Interlift 2015, the international fair par excellence in the elevation sector, is not only increasing its exhibition area but also breaking records of exhibitors with 530 companies participating (compared to 512 in 2013) from 41 countries. Spain, with 31 exhibiting companies, is the fifth largest participant. Asansor Istanbul 2017 to be held from 23rd to 26th March. 68% of the participating exhibitors from the 2015 event of what is now its third event in the international elevation sector have already reserved their places for the 2017 fair, which expects to attract 30,000 visitors and 450 participating companies from 30 different countries. The next Elevcon event, the 21st International Congress on Vertical Transportation Technologies, which will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Madrid from 10th to 12th May 2016, has opened a call for the presentation of possible themes for the conferences that will comprise its programme. The 66 staging of the Annual Convention of NAEC (National Association of Elevator Contractors), which will be held from 28th September to 1st October in Boston, USA, will be covering a wide range of subjects, ranging from ‘Controlling Your Workman’s Comp. Costs’ and ‘Social Media in the Workplace’ to technical questions and new regulations. The exhibition of products from the various participating companies will take place in parallel, which is expected to be visited by over 2,000 visitors and professionals in the sector.
