Asoprovac Invites to the director attach of the DG Agri of the CE to visit exploitations of beef of Spanish meat

The one of Joao Joao Pacheco, general director attach of the General Steering of Agriculture (DG Agri) of the European Commission (CE) is the second of these visits. Like this, it fulfils with the aim prioritario of Asoprovac to move permanently the productive reality to the main actors of the CE and of the European Parliament (PE).

In concrete, Alberto Juanola, president of Asoprovac, has stood out: “Many of the exploitations graziers of our country, of beef of meat but also of ovino and beef of milk, do not have fit in the new proposal of the PAC that presented the Commission in October of the past year. This has been reported reiteradamente by the association, but are safe that only the visit in person can facilitate the understanding of our reality and the assessment of a system that, in spite of his differences with the rest of Europe, has an enormous socioeconomic value no only for our country but for a lot of other European countries”.
According to Juanola, “it would be necessary to recognise and take into account important facts like the special links that joins in our country to the sectors of the cow nodriza and the bait or that the pastures herbáceos do not take advantage of in the phase of bait but they employ cereals like basic element of his feeding”.
Besides, according to the president of Asoprovac, the reform neither takes into account the peculiarities of the diet of property of the earth in the livestock Spanish, with a high percentage of leases and some prices that tend to increase because of the speculation generalised that is causing the Proposal of Reform presented by the Commission.
