The first prizes for innovation in the dairy sector will be delivered within the framework of Expoaviga Forum

The Spanish Federation of entrepreneurs producers of milk (Prolec) announces the first edition of the 'awards for innovation and entrepreneurship in the dairy sector'. With this call, the entity pays tribute to the innovative in milk production and modernisation in production processes undertaken by the award-winning. The awards will be awarded within the framework of expoaviga forum, event which takes place from 8 to 10 June in the Congress Centre of Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc venue. The delivery will take place on June 8, 2010 in room 3 of the Congress, during the celebration of the technical conferences organized by Prolec under the title 'The first step of the value chain of milk'.

With the call for these awards, the first of this category are granted in the country, Prolec and Expoaviga want to recognize, and at the same time promote the efforts of the sector to find alternatives to the crisis. An effort that has resulted in, among other innovations, to the implementation of automatic vending machines of fresh milk or plants of biogas in farms to generate alternative energy sources. The jury, formed by the Committee of national experts (CEN), will decide the name of the three awarded based on the innovation of the project, their creativity, profitability, risks taken and economic applicability, among other parameters.
