A study on the interferences in wind parks wins the Prize Eolo of Innovation 2012
8 June 2012
The jury has considered that this study attends to an important appearance for the wind sector: the interference of the parks on the systems of telecommunication, radionavegación aerial and radars (understands by interference the diffraction and dispersion of the electromagnetic waves, transmitted by the systems, that take place on the physical surface of the aerogeneradores). In fact, the construction of wind parks is subject, in an increasing number of countries, to the fulfillment of some guidelines in matter of electromagnetic interferences.
The aim of the work rewarded is the rigorous study of the electromagnetic interferences caused by the wind parks on the systems of radiocommunication, with the purpose to obtain the necessary knowledges that allow the design of parks whose construction preserve the integrity of all the systems of telecommunication, radionavegación aerial and near radars.
The prize, endowed with 3.000 euros, will deliver in the Dinner of the Sector the next 12 June, in the frame of the Wind Convention that summons the Wind Business Association (AEE).
The jury stands out the high quality of the works received in areas so diverse like the marine wind power, the systems of predictive maintenance, the operative of the electrical market or the hybrid systems of wind with other sources of generation.
The initiative of the Prize Eolo of Innovation freamers inside the lines of performance of AEE and the technological platform of the wind sector, Reoltec, to support the innovation and the national technological development in a context of strong international competition, globalisation of the markets and optimisation of costs.
