ESA recognizes the career of Félix Avia in the wind sector

The wind energy business association (EAA) last June was awarded its annual awards on the occasion of the 2010 wind energy Convention, the most important annual event in the sector. The annual distinction has been Félix Avia for his long career dedicated to the wind sector, first as a pioneering technologist and later for his work in various bodies, always related to wind energy, and by its internationally recognized recently assumed the Presidency of the European Academy of wind energy.
For its part, the Aeolus Prize for journalism has been to Tomás García, editor of la Voz de Galicia. PES wants to reward its work in disseminating that has given the reality of the sector, always with rigour, professionalism, and balance. Garcia is working on an autonomous region, Galicia, that in recent times has witnessed important events that have put it on focus not only of the region, but of all Spain.
Aeolus Photography Prize has been to Iñaki Antoñana in photography 'Sustainability'. Photographer born in Madrid, currently resides in Viana (Navarre) where he combines his work as a technician of maintenance in a wind farm with collaboration as a photographer in an agency.
The awards were given at the dinner of the Sector which is celebrated as one of the main acts of Convention wind. The event attended a broad representation of the Administration, along with members of Parliament and the heads of enterprises and the sector.
