The máster in wind power of the Uned will contribute with the learning of Spanish companies of the sector

The third edition of the Máster in Wind Power given by the National University of Education to Distance (Uned), in collaboration with AEE, will contribute to support the activities of learning in Spanish companies of the sector. The next 20 January will begin this new edition of the first máster specialised in wind power of Spain and Latin America and one of the first of the world. The term of matrícula finalises on 13 January. The Wind Business Association (AEE) considers that this pioneering initiative fulfils with the aim to show the main challenges and solutions of the wind sector Spanish for an use extensivo of the wind power to scale world-wide.

In front of the needs of the companies of the wind sector to have professional prepared specifically in wind power, the Uned launched in 2009 a program modulate of postgrado in Wind Power that gives place to three possible degrees: obtain the title of University Expert in Wind Power (for which are necessary 20 credits ECTS), obtain a Diploma of Specialisation (30 credits ECTS), and the Title of Máster (60 credits). From AEE identified the need to elevate the program to level of Máster, with a requirement of 60 credits, to end to have equal opportunities offered by the countries of our surroundings, as it is the case of Germany and Denmark. The students will be able to have flexibility to the hour to realizar this máster, that already have cursado around 180 students, being able to complete it in one or two years.

The program is headed to titled university that wish to purchase or complete a skilled technical learning and of quality in the field of the wind power, in tuning and narrow collaboration with the companies of the sector through AEE. The contents centre in the theoretical and practical knowledges that sue the companies of the sector inside a modality of education to distance with a powerful virtual platform that has allowed to have resident students in any place of the world. In addition to experts of AEE, the educational team is formed by professors of distinct specialitys of the schools of industrial engineers of the Uned and of the Polytechnical University of Madrid.
