Biomass plants
Acciona Power is present in the field of the biomass with three installations that totalizan 33 MW of power. They produce annually some 240 million kilowatts hour.
The elder of them is a plant by combustion of straw of cereal of 25 MW built in Sangüesa (Navarra), that constitutes an unpublished installation in the South of Europe in the aprovechamiento of this source of renewable power.
Acciona Power explains likewise with the plants of Talosa and Pinasa, in the provinces of Soria and Cuenca, respectively, of 4 MW of power each one.
The company goes to promote of form stood out his activities in biomass. It projects to build seven plants in different Spanish communities, that will go in progressively in service between 2010 and 2012. They add a total power of 110 MW, an upper investment to 306 million euros and an annual production estimated in 880 million kWh. In his group, the new installations will represent the creation of 175 new direct employments and 515 indirect, to a large extent linked to the primary sector.
