The contest distinguishes the best Windows, light facades, end of career, more innovative products and the stand design projects
The international exhibition of the window and the glass enclosure, 2006 Veteco, held its tenth year with the best prospects. Organised by Ifema, the pageant was held at Feria de Madrid, 10 to 13 days of the month of May. The show brought together more than 500 exhibitors and nearly 800 represented companies, who occupied a net area of 44.446,5 m
2, figure latter, an increase of 6% compared to the previous call for 2004. It is important to highlight the foreign participation, expressed in the presence of 68 exhibitors from 14 countries. This data comes to confirm the weight that has the competition in the international trade fair circuit, recognized as one of the main forums of business for the industry of the window and the glass enclosure, and the dynamism of the sector in Spain. In this regard, stresses the fact that in 2005, 12.5 million Windows - 10% of total European production-, with a turnover of almost EUR 4 billion, according to the Spanish Association of manufacturers of Windows and facades light were built in SpainAsefave. In addition to these figures that have allowed it to strengthen the European position, the national window and the glass enclosure sector faces the challenge of improving the quality. In this sense, the development of the new rules, with the recent adoption of the technical building code, CTE, imposes other criteria, especially in areas such as energy savings. In fact, the Institute for diversification and saving of energy, Idea, has been estimated that the fulfilment of these criteria may be a saving of energy by building up to 40%.
During the show Veteco surrendered the Asefave Veteco awards to the best Windows, light facades, end of career, and most innovative products and projects the awards of the competition of design of Stands Coam/Veteco.
The present at the event offer featured a broad sample of Windows of all kinds, ceilings and skylights, Windows and doors, light facades, glass, machinery, fittings and accessories, automations, coatings, sunscreen, doors, siliconas…
Is also gave great importance to security, one of the priorities of manufacturers, as it was evident with the latest in armoured doors; blinds with self-locking system; improvements in telemandos, automations, control panels and other elements of security, or the most fearsome moon landing-resistant garage doors.
