Andimat Publishes new cases of study on the fulfillment of the CTE

The publication in September of 2013 of the new Code of the Edificación in his section of Saving of Power (CTE DB-HAVE), in force from the past 14 March, has carried to Andimat (National Association of Manufacturers of Insulating Materials) to publish a series of cases of study that pretend to help to the responsible technicians to justify the fulfillment of the new CTE HAVE1. The cases show the difference between the calculation of the energetic demand of heating and refrigeration of a concrete building in accordance with the requirement of the Option Simplified of the CTE 2006 and a predimensionado from the orientative values of the Appendix And of the CTE 2013 (the new cases already are available in the web page of Andimat:
In this occasion, treats of a building en bloc with seven plants, situated between medianeras. The climatic zone considered in this case is the zone C, in concrete analyse the zones C2 (Barcelona, Gironinginga, Orense) and the zone C1 (Bilbao, Cuenca, Coruña, Oviedo, Pontevedra, San Sebastián, Santander). These two climatic zones represent 24% of the park of houses.
The main conclusions of this concrete case, are:
- The isolation in façade triplica, in covers duplicates , in floors increases 40% and the insulating capacity of the gaps of façade duplicates .
- These increases will be greater if they do not treat properly the thermal sensors bridges.
- The extra cost is in the order of 35% (some €12,3/m2).
- The energetic saving increases in 35% for the zone C2 and upper to 45% for the zone C1.
- The investment recovers in little more than 6 years.
- In 50 years of useful life of the building and supposing an increase of the cost of the power of 2% annual will have recovered like minimum 12 times the investment in the zone C2 and more than 18 times in the zone C1.
These cases confirm the aimed in the first case of study: the new CTE HAVE1 2013 increases considerably the requirements of the envolvente, the extra cost is perfectly asumible and turns into an absolutely profitable investment.
