More than 20 years of experience at your service offering fine cuisine in our catering establishments in San Pedro de Rudaguera and Puente San Miguel have served to create deli La Ermita, SL. Food company, which markets its products throughout Spain, as well as points: England, France, Portugal, Italy, Holland, Germany, Russia...
The brothers: Amparo, Candide, and Salmon Ramon Garcia de los Salmones, owners of the company began in San Pedro de Rudagüera where his parents acquired a grocery store in the 1960s. This tienda-taberna was serving from the end of the 19th century. The construction was commissioned by "Sqm" in 1826 and for carrying out the works, the walls of an old chapel, took advantage motive of our name: "Deli La Ermita". The main façade shows a cross, hence our logo.
In the 1980s, this old house business be reformed without touching the original structure and became "The Hermitage 1826": business of hospitality which comes giving service of accommodation, bar and restaurant. (We recommend an excursion to San Pedro de Rudagüera by train (40 mins. from Santander) where you can enjoy a great meal and a setting beside the Saja River that are worth knowing).
Following the success of this business, in the 1990s, the family acquired a house type colonial in Puente San Miguel (in front of the Town Hall) and called it, the tradition: "The Hermitage 1883" (year of construction of the building). This business provides service of: accommodation, restaurant, cafeteria, menu of the day and rations. The striking bougainvillea in a corner of the House complete deli La Ermita logo.
