Interview to María Valcarce, director of Genera

Once closed the fifteenth edition of Genera, which balance does of the fair? Which would stand out Unit like the most positive appearances of the contest of this year?
Ours impressesion, in general terms, is positive. The wide professional announcement, with more than 500 companies participants and 22.275 visitors of 55 countries, as well as the good received of the activities, especially of the 20 programs of conferences that have had some 2.500 assistants and, especially the satisfaction that have transmitted us the display units in when to aims fulfilled, are some of the arguments that back the success of this edition of Genera.
By the appearance that showed the fair during his three days, with a high level of visitors, seemed that the crisis had taken a break during the celebration of Genera. It considers that the contest has contributed to generate some optimism to a sector that does not cross now by his best moment?
Likes us think that it has been like this. The fairs have had in all his history a paper dinamizador of the markets and, nowadays and in any circumstance of the coyuntura economic, conserve this faculty that, without being the solution to all the problems, contribute to generate some optimism, very necessary in these moments.
Which conclusions would take out Unit of the situation that lives at present the sector of the renewable energies after all the seen and listened in Genera 2012?
Is a too complex subject as for resumirlo in an interpretation of sentires and opinions. Yes I think that, anyway, the renewable have to go on because they are necessary in terms of reduction of broadcasts, of independence in the supply, of balance in the commercial scales… and besides, because Spain has a position of leadership in the technologies, especially in solar and wind, that it is necessary to conserve. I am convinced that it is a sector with a future of growth.
Of all the segments (photovoltaic, wind, biomass, cogeneration, geotermia…) that conform the sector of the renewable power, there is any that have stood out especially in this edition of Genera?
This edition of the fair has been very technological and very ecléctica, with presence of different technologies and proposals, and that, by this reason, has resulted so very valued by the professionals that have visited it. It generates it is a fair of power and environingingment and, in reality, any proposal that redunde in the energetic efficiency and/or in the production of clean power fits inside the sample, since our visitors (engineers consultores, installers, architects… amongst other) look for energetic solutions advanced and sustainable.
Two of the roads by which more are betting the companies to face up to the difficulties of the domestic market are the internationalisation and the diversification. In which measure has been able to contribute Generates to open or reinforce these strategies?
Genera receives traditionally visitors of big variety of countries that look for in Spain an energetic sector that has stood out in the development of the renewable and that has companies leaders and very competitive to attend to the international markets. In this sense and as it signalled previously, this year have had professional of 55 countries. On the other hand, the favourable fair the generation of new contacts and the exchange of knowledge and experiences that situates to the companies in a market and in a moment timely to find ideas and opportunities.
I imagine that for the organisation, that the minister of industry, Power and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, attended to the inauguration of Genera, supposed an important espaldarazo. Which impressesion carried the minister of his first visit to the fair? There was something that attracted especially his attention?
Of course, the fact that the minister accessed to chair the act of the official inauguration of Genera is an important deferencia for with the sector and with the fair. A presence and backrest of big value for the display units, for the distinct sectorial entities that support the living room, and for us like organisers. The minister departió with representatives of many of the companies participants and did them numerous questions. Besides, it requested the reports of all the Technical Days of the fair since the subjects treated were of his maximum interest.
In addition to the renewable energies, the another big pole of Genera is the energetic efficiency. Which paper has played this thematic in this edition?
In Genera conviven the two thematic lines, with presence so much in the products and solutions that show the stands, as in many of the questions treated in the distinct conferences. The arguments of efficiency also have a notable paper in the Gallery of Innovation, as they show the majority of the projects selected. Besides, the visitors of Genera look for in the fair solve oriented to provide savings and environingingmental sustainability, by what the energetic efficiency and the renewable energies are two facets that complement rightly in the contents of this living room.
It considers, by what has been able to collect in the fair, that the Spanish society is increasingly mentalizada of the need to be more efficient with the power that consume?
Yes, and especially regarding the reduction of costs and to the impulse of the sustainable development. Power and environingingment are closely tied and, nowadays, the saving and the environingingmental question are keys, so much for the development of this sector and of his markets, as to benefit to the domestic consumer.
Like a clear bet by the future, Generates created does already several years the Gallery of Innovation to recognise the projects more vanguardistas in matter of energetic efficiency, renewable energies and protection of the environingingment. It could stand out us some of the projects that more have attracted the attention of the visitors to this edition?
All the proposals selected this year have had a big acceptance, however seems that those that offer a very practical application and of immediate visualisation are those that more quickly calan in the visitor. In this sense, the project of the sustainable elevator or the one of the plant of wash of efficient trucks have been especially commented, as well as the industrial process to produce microalgas and the solar manifold with carcasa biodegradable. In general, the Gallery hoards the attention of the professionals that visit the fair because it puts of self-evident the fact that there is a lot of investigation and, besides, offers a good perspective of the lines of advance in avant-garde.
Finally and thinking in the future, are already closed the dates of the sixteenth edition? It trusts that the contextual situation and structural have changed in Spain for these dates?
Can not predecir the future, however will follow working for reinforcing the announcement of companies and professional of Genera and strengthen his position like the referent in our country of the sector of the renewable and the energetic efficiency. On the other hand, we have advanced his dates of celebration to the month of February (between the days 26 to the 28) so as to do it coincide with Air conditioning and that both living rooms see favoured by the sinergias of his respective contents in which, beyond all doubt, have a big weigh the environingingmental questions and of energetic saving.
