Itene Participates in a project on nanocápsulas that free antimicrobic substances

The Technological Institute of the Packaging, Transport and Logistical (Itene), participates beside the Technological Institute of the Construction (Aidico) in the project ‘Nanocontainers', that coordinates the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC).The project has like aim develop nanocápsulas inorganic of material silíceos able to free of form controlled active substances with properties biocidas or antimicrobic, between others, for his application in distinct productive sectors, as the one of construction, the ceramic or the one of container and packaging.

In the case of the sector of the construction is of interest the release of substances biocidas or inhibidoras of the corrosion; regarding the ceramic, the focus of attention is the protection and release of substances bactericidas; and in the case of the sector of the container and packaging, the attention recae on the release of antimicrobic substances. By means of the use of the ‘nanocontainers' pretends increase the useful life in service and the efficiency of the products that contain them, being able to control the release of the active substance in function of the external stimuli, and like this improve the state of the materials when reducing the processes of degradation and loss of properties.

‘Nanocontaniners' Is promoted by the Institute of the Small and Average Valencian Industry (Impiva) through the European Bottoms Feder, of regional development.
