Garrigues and AENOR present at the Carbon Expo 2011

Garrigues environment and the Association for standardisation and certification (AENOR) attend Carbon Expo 2011, on 1, 2 and 3 June, on inventory and compensation, on the one hand, and in the verification, on the other hand, greenhouse gas emissions occurring during the celebration of this international trade fair, the most important of carbon markets. It is the third consecutive time that Carbon Expo, which this year takes place in the German city of Cologne, select the two Spanish entities to carry out this process. On this occasion, Gas Natural Fenosa will be the company that will provide, for the first time emissions reductions necessary for the neutralization of those produced during the fair.

To make the process of clearing and verification, greenhouse gas emissions are estimated by Garrigues environment prior to the event and will be monitored during the celebration of the same, in order to make the final calculation with the settings that are necessary after conclusion. Thus, Carbon Expo will have a neutral balance in carbon. Subsequently, AENOR will verify the calculation of the emissions of greenhouse gases in the event and its compensation, through the granting of the certificate of the AENOR brand 'Emissions of CO₂ Compensadas'. Thus, Carbon Expo 2011 will become the seventh event that succeeds.
