Oficemen, new technical secretariat of the Spanish technological platform of the CO2 and the Spanish Association of CO2

On 8 March, meeting the Rector Council of the platform and the directive Board of the Association in ordinary session, it approved unanimously the award of the technical secretariat to the cement manufacturers grouping of Spain. Also, the technical director of Oficemen, Pedro Mora, was appointed Secretary of the platform and coordinator of the Association, charges will play until December 2011.

Spanish cement sector, an intensive industry in energy consumption has become an efficient industry energy through the introduction of the best available techniques (BAT) and has placed the Spanish cement plants between the most efficient at the global levelbeing more efficient than the European average colon. In a complementary manner, the cement industry continues to work within the framework of development of the techniques of capture of CO₂.
