AFE Celebrates successfully his 7º congress

Spanish fairs are facing the current economic situation as a time of opportunity for the role of these competitions as a driving force behind economic and territorial. In General, and with the conclusions of the various presentations and round tables that took place in the scientific program of the last Congress of the Association of Spanish fairs (AFE), fairs have to adapt to the needs of customers and should offer reasonable solutions to companiesinnovative, capable of adapting to the current crisis situation.
The President of the Association, José Antonio Vicente, highlighted in the opening ceremony on Thursday July 2 that: "the fairs are still the best commercial tool and this has been demonstrated in 2008 (...)" "there should be no room for pessimism at the fairgrounds partners (...) must find the stimuli that have lead us to the forefront, to innovation and to be open to the needs demanded by the market today".
It should be noted that the internationalization and globalization of trade fairs, as a vital tool for economic growth in the sector of its exhibitors and visitors, gave rise to a significant interest among the attendees. Precisely on the internationalization he turned the talk given by Jaime Montalvo, director general for the promotion of the Spanish Institute of foreign trade (Icex).
He also stressed in his speech the importance of the 'new Plan sectoral AFE' and the principle of rapprochement that exists by the Association and the Icex in creating actions that may promote the internationalization of the market fair Spanish.
On the same thematic axis, Ramón Casilda, Adviser and Adviser to international companies, stressed that the fairs are products and services exportable.
And focusing on the theme of the Congress, José Maria Gasalla and his companion Leila Navarro they explained how the current situation is a time of opportunity. At that Conference is intended a model of learning, exchange of skills and commitment to business today. Defined the modern trade fair concept as a strategic area of promotion and business.

Thus, the Congress offered a full scientific programme that dealt with the issues that move in the exhibition environment, among which highlighted aspects as the implications for business - by the hand of Elena Ordozgoiti tourism, Chief Director of standardization of Aenor-, the importance of the commercial agent collegiate in the company provided - in charge of Ignacio Manzano, President of the General Council of colleges of commercial agents of Spain-, or the rights of industrial property and the fight against piracy - Angel PedreroUngría patents and trademarks.
