Generates 2009 is consolidated as a reference in the energy sector

The relevance of the international salon of the energy and the environment is reflected, among other variables, for the growth of the number of direct exhibitors, which have been grown 60.5 per cent to reach 415 participants. A presence encompassed the supply of 686 represented companies from 22 countries. In addition, the interest of the Festival is evidenced also by the volume of professionals who visited the fair, with a total of 26.545 attendees, as well as for the quality of your professional profile, others include engineers (16,24%), responsible for Department (12,27%)senior management (12.07%) and consultants (10,59%). Some data that emphasizes the strategic nature of the event and its importance as a meeting point essential to know the latest trends in the energy sector and facilitate decision making. As regards international influx, 7% of the total number of visitors were foreigners, from 58 countries, among which highlighted the presence of Portuguese, Germans, Italians and French.

The offer of generates 2009 gathered a wide representation of various generation technologies: solar thermal and photovoltaic were umbrella in the Pavilion 9, while wind, mini wind, biomass, cogeneration, hydro, hydrogen and stack of fuel, gas, oilcoal and waste gathered in Hall 7, together with the proposed international and geothermal energy models and thermal power, that they joined for the first time in this call to the fair.

Also, it stresses the interest generated by the intense program of technical conferences that were held in parallel to the commercial activity of the Hall. In this sense, the variety of the subjects covered - among others, case on the different energy sources, technical peculiarities to implementation and maintenance or the investment opportunities in these segments-as well as the competence of the rapporteurs and organizers attracted up to the Conference rooms 2,776 professionals attending the different presentations held in generates.

For the second consecutive year, the Organizing Committee of generates 2009 opted for the vanguard as a differentiating factor and added value, in this regard, and to recognize these variables, organized the innovation Gallery, where attendees could check in 18 different projects the recent progress made in the field of energy efficiency and optimization of resources and processes. This strong support for the research and knowledge applied in a practical environment was also reflected in the papers included in the General Forum, which was added to the wide range of technical conferences.
